Helping Transfer Students Achieve Academic Success
Make the Most of Orientation and Welcome Week
During Orientation, you’ll get your first taste of student life at IU and begin to learn what it means to be a Hoosier. Then, during Welcome Week, you’ll participate in tons of activities that will help you learn more about IU traditions and make a smooth transition to academic life at IU Bloomington.
Participate in the Many Programs Just for Transfer Students
Don’t miss the Mentor Program, transfer student bowling nights, or any of the other activities designed for Hoosiers like you. Achieve academic success and you can join the Tau Sigma Honor Society—a national honor society just for transfer students.
Stay Involved with FYE
The opportunities continue all year long! Learn about IU traditions and culture. Participate in community service projects. Take part in the “Trading Laces” program to find out what it’s like to walk in other students’ shoes. And find out “What’s Next for You at IU.” It’s all part of the FYE program for all first year students.
