Flying along with the Blue-Bee Squad
Welcome to the section of the communiQuest where you’ll be able to learn about everything we’ve been doing in IVI THE DMC Enterprises during the month.
In early March, we joyously marked the birthday of our esteemed president, Raquel Mijares. We trust she had a splendid celebration surrounded by loved ones. We truly appreciate her exceptional leadership and for making OUR CLIENTS LOOK GREAT!
Shortly thereafter, we engaged in a highly productive online meeting with our valued associate, Alejandra Lizcano from Destino in Travel. Collaborating with esteemed industry figures like her is always invigorating. We eagerly anticipate the opportunity to join forces and embark on our shared endeavors, Alejandra.
As March drew to a close, we commemorated a significant occasion for Mexicans: March 31st, the revered Day of the Taco!
It's hardly astonishing that one of Mexico's most cherished culinary delights merits its own day of homage. The taco stands tall as an emblem of Mexican gastronomy, encapsulating culinary ingenuity with its humble yet adaptable composition, welcoming a plethora of flavors and permutations.
Page 4 | M&I + Ad-Hoc Events Guru’s Digest by IVI Corporation
A few days later, we began promoting our CSR event, "Arborización Siembra Vida," which was held toward the end of the month.
The event proved to be a resounding success, providing an incredible opportunity to educate numerous children from our community about environmental stewardship and how they can make a positive impact by learning to plant trees.
That concludes this edition of Flying Along with the BLUE-BEE Squad. We hope you enjoyed this installment and look forward to sharing more with you in the future. Until next time!
LOS CABOS
The beginnings of Baja California Sur started when the Peninsula was formed two million years ago, giving way to an area of large mountains. It is called Peninsula because it means "land surface surrounded by water". The entity is located in the southern part of the peninsula and is surrounded by the Gulf of California and the Pacific Ocean. In the peninsula of Baja California, it is calculated that the population arrived between 10 and 15 thousand years B.C. with the appearance of the first three groups: The Pericúes who inhabited the extreme south, in position of the islands, which today we call Espiritu Santo, San Jose and Cerralvo; another group was the Cochimíes, which had their settlements in the northern part of Loreto and finally the Guaycuras who were located in what we know as Todos Santos, La Paz and part of Loreto.

Los Cabos
The californios, the name given generically to the first inhabitants of the population, survived by fishing, hunting, and gathering, making them nomadic to satisfy their food needs. They moved from one region to another in search of better climatic conditions according to the season of the year.
In 1967 the Viceroy of New Spain authorized Father Juan María de Salva Tierra to impart the religious faith to the native Californians, the Jesuit Fathers founded 17 missions: Our Lady of Loreto in 1697.
What our clients have to say
San Francisco Javier in 1699, Santa Rosalía Mulegé 1705, Our Lady Dolores 1721, San José del Cabo 1730, and Santa Rosa de Todos Santos 1733, among others; all the missions imparted changes of life, such as living in one place, keeping only one wife, a situation that many of the settlers did not like, forming groups of rebellion. In the year 1768, the Jesuits abandoned the California peninsula, and most of the Californians disappeared, they died due to the transitions of life, and the diseases brought by the colonists such as syphilis, malaria, typhoid, measles, and dysentery.
This was my first solo and the IVI team made it seamless! They went above expectations, especially Joaquin.

where the desert meets the sea in a harmonious dance
On July 7, 1822, the news of the official separation between Spain and Baja California arrived.
In 1824, a constitutional assembly convened, shaping Mexico into a Federal Republic and designating Baja California as a Federal territory. Eight commissions of imperial regime, termed city councils, namely San José del Cabo, Santiago, Todos Santos, Comondú, Mulegé, and Santo Tomas, were established. By 1830, La Paz emerged as the capital, initiating the region's settlement. Nine years later, it split into two districts: Baja California Sur with La Paz as its capital and Baja California with a northern district. This division spurred colonization and economic advancement. During Porfirio Diaz's governance, foreign companies were permitted to exploit natural resources like gold, silver, pearls, and salt, leading to land appropriation issues. Settlers from Sinaloa, Guerrero, Nayarit, Colima, and Jalisco were brought in by these companies, fostering agricultural and livestock development.
In 1917, Baja California witnessed a significant shift as municipal and federal authorities embarked on vital infrastructure projects, including schools, roads, markets, water, and electricity services. In 1973, construction commenced on segments of the Transpeninsular Highway, culminating in the inauguration of the iconic "Transpeninsular Highway" monument.
