Rickety Rackety Raft Regatta Come join us and build your raft with essential materials to perfectly fit you and race your work-partners by paddling yourself to a perfect lap from shore to a buoy and back. Be ready to sail in this regatta that will consist of four (4) heats; each heat will have two (2) participants as paddlers per ride (make teams). Each member may use all of the supplies as they see fit. You supply the imagination, ingenuity, teamwork, and flipper-power to design, construct and power your seaworthy creation. We will allow 20-30 minutes for construction. Each raft must withstand the grueling punishment of a 100-yard heat with six (6) of its team members aboard. Following construction, the most creative decoration and cheer will be judged. Then it’s off to the sea for a healthy competition.
Lotería Loteria is the Mexican game of chance, similar to Bingo, but using images on a deck of cards instead of plain numbers on ping pong balls. Every image has a name and an assigned number, but the number is usually ignored. Each player has at least one board, a board with a randomly created 4 x 4 grid of pictures with their corresponding name and number. Each player chooses what board they want to play with from a variety of previously created boards. Each one presents a different selection of images. The players with a matching pictogram on their board mark it off with a chip or other kind of marker (many Mexican families traditionally use small rocks, soda corks, or pinto beans as markers). The first player with four chips in a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal row, squared pattern, or any other previously specified pattern, shouts “Lotería!” (Lottery!) or “Buena!” (Good!) and is declared the winner. In addition to playing the board game, participants will create riddles to call the cards, as traditionally played.
Treasure Hunt Treasure Hunt is an emotional and fun program created for a fully remote operation, using technology for this experience to reconnect with your work team and generate bonds of trust through empathy.
Flintstones Everyone is invited to take part in the biggest race track in Cancun. The raging crowd will roar as contestants are told, “drivers start your engines”! Anxiously all contestants will inch their way to the starting line for the sound-off— running Yabba Dabba Doo style across the finish line. We will supply all materials at the gasoline alley so teams can construct an authentic stone mobile. Each team will receive a specific number of PVC pipes and joints to construct the mainframe and cardboard sheeting for a sleek and stylish design. Each member may use any or all of the supplies as they see fit. Teams will construct, customize and race their masterpiece on foot power. We will allow 30 minutes for construction. Each stone-mobile must withstand the approx 100-yard dash with (2) of its team members aboard.
Jungle Race 2
Nature Rally This activity includes a fun journey through the jungle where participants are divided into teams and will demonstrate their creativity, skill, and effective communication to overcome the 7 tests from the elements of nature.

Teams will live an experience full of traditions and history allowing the members to discover that behind an extreme situation or a challenge there is an opportunity to use their personal skills and strengths as a team.
Within the unparalleled beauty of the rainforest and the crystal clear waters of the cenotes, this adventure encourages competition and encourages teamwork. The strategy combined with laughter and companionship will be the necessary ingredients to accumulate as many points and result in being crowned the kings of the jungle! Creating a “Value Proposition”
By James D. Feldman CSP, CITE, CPIM, CPT, CPC, MIP, PCS According to Google, the average person in the “real world” is assaulted with a barrage of 577 new marketing messages per week. Your challenge, if you are in business, is to somehow get inside the mind of your customer as they sift through the challenge of emails, snail mails, banners, and commercials. Once inside, you would probably hear a little voice that cries: “I don’t have time to listen to you, and I don’t believe you anyway.” It seems that companies today confuse the “value proposition” of their company or product with differentiation or positioning. They do this because their STRATEGY is unclear, so they cannot define its value proposition. This reduces the value proposition to a positioning statement. And that doesn’t make sound business sense. Value propositions are directly tied to and impossible to separate from a company’s strategy. The true value proposition of your company’s service cannot exist in a vacuum; value is derived in the context of the customer’s receptivity and your organization’s strategy. If your company cannot align itself to offer a value proposition, you are a ship without a rudder. MARKET PLACE: Technology has empowered your potential customers with far more options than in times past. Your message is held hostage by a single click. And whether the weapon of choice is a mouse, touchpad, or remote, you have but seconds to instigate a relationship. In the days when people had a million devices for contact (cell phone infrastructure was still being built), there was no overlap in ability between office phones, cell phones, pagers, email, fax, and home phones. Under such circumstances, it might have been easier to get the customers’ attention. Today that is not the case. So the “pain” was that no one could find you without hauling around a giant Rolodex. Execs missed calls missed appointments, and needed a tool belt for all the gadgets. Your customers feel the same pain today. “How can I be heard?” “How can I be read?” “How can I get an appointment with the decision-maker?” No matter how good a product is, unless its value proposition can be articulated to and understood by each of your customers, its benefits will never be realized. Your customers not only want to know, but they ask:
Page 20 | M&I + Ad-Hoc Events Guru’s Digest by IVI Corporation
M&I + Ad-Hoc Events Guru’s Digest by IVI Corporation | Page 21
• • • •
What’s in it for me?” Who is sending me this email? Newsletter, brochure, etc. What is it asking me to do? Why should I do it?
YOUR OBJECTIVE: The purpose of a value proposition is to identify and satisfy an unmet need that our target market possesses. TARGET AUDIENCE: It is essential to recognize those customers’ attitudes and business values, ranging from highly conservative to innovative. Understanding these dimensions can help you frame your target audience. They may include: Companies that are struggling and need help. Companies who find that their customers want the best prices. Companies that want the best return on capital. Companies that are risk-averse and want stability. Companies are looking for partners to help them develop and improve business performance. Companies that are innovative and welcome new ideas. Companies that already use your services from your competition. VALUE: You must deliver real value! Failing to deliver on the value the customer thought they were buying will destroy a relationship over time. Your value proposition must be reflected in product and service definition and development. This assures that the real needs of customers are addressed. A CALL TO ACTION: Bottom line: you must give the reader a specific reason to do business with you. This goes back to building the problem, explaining the best solution, and telling the reader what they’ll get. Great value propositions appeal to solving pain or achieving dreams. The value either solves a “pain” the customer has in a way they can’t do without our research, or it allows them to live a “dream” and do something extraordinary that they wouldn’t be able to do without your study. Understand the motivations and demands of your audience—this is the key to having emotional appeal within your communications. To shift your value proposition: It would be best if you differentiate your offer. It must excel in at least one component. It must be the best choice for your customer. Your goal is to OPTIMIZE the offer.

Essential Travel Tips
Pack essentials in your carry-on Recent stats indicate that, on average, at least one bag on every flight is lost or delayed. If there’s anything you can’t live without, pack it in your carry-on. This is especially true of items that are not easily or inexpensively replaced, such as running shoes or a lightweight raincoat.
