ur beloved donors are the heart of Incarnate Word Academy. Donor generosity allows us to take advantage of emerging opportunities and provides the flexibility to respond to unanticipated needs and challenges. Last school year was definitely a year of unanticipated needs and challenges. The COVID-19 pandemic turned our spring upside down, ultimately interrupting our school-year and forcing us to pivot to distance learning for the remainder of the year. Donor generosity continued to help us serve our students and faculty during these uncertain and unprecedented times, the likes of which the school has never faced in its 150 year history. We are humbled and grateful by the support of our many education partners who continue to help ensure that IWA remains an inclusive and intellectually dynamic school community, even during a world pandemic. Through your generous support, you have enhanced our environment, empowered our students’ minds, and fostered excellence across the campus: 54% Tuition Assistance You reduced financial barriers for 42% of the student body and helped them achieve their potential.
20% Unrestricted Annual Fund 233 donors made an immediate impact and helped address emerging and high-priority needs. President’s Circle Members made up only 32% of the total Annual Fund donors but contributed an amazing 76% of total annual funds raised.

The Class of 2020 far exceeded the state schools’ top ten percent acceptance standards with 35% of the class accepted to the University of Texas and 32% also accepted to Texas A&M University– College Station. Our remarkable Angels are wellprepared for their chosen colleges and universities.
