POPE’S VISIT TO U.S. BRINGS JOY Artwork By
Beckham Benavides
Students participated in various classroom activities about Pope Francis during his visit to the U.S. from September 22-27, 2015. Elementary level students created puppets of Pope Francis and some had help from Sr. Agueda Oviedo’s eighth grade religious studies class. Mrs. Margie Lohmeier’s upper Montessori class learned about the Devotional Prayer of Mary: the Undoer of Knots, which Pope Francis absolutely loves. In addition, Sr. Helga Leija’s class worked on booklets about the life of Pope Francis.
Let us encourage the generosity which is typical of the young and help them to work actively in building a better world. Young people are a powerful engine for the Church and for society. Pope Francis
