ANGELS PARTICIPATE IN DAY OF SERVICE Approximately 20 students participated in the first annual day of service on October 22nd which was initiated to complement the November community-wide day of giving. Nonprofits around the city benefited from the time and talent of our students and other community members in anticipation of others sharing their treasure. From landscaping; to working at the food bank loading backpacks with food; to painting pumpkins with children who reside at the Salvation Army, students had the opportunity to make meaningful contributions to organizations or ministries that make a real impact in the lives of the most vulnerable. It was a wonderful way to continue the spirit of mercy as the jubilee year approaches its conclusion.
STUDENTS ENJOY RETREATS Each High School Level class participated in a retreat this past fall at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church. The retreats provided time for students to come together outside of the regular school setting to explore, experience, and reflect on the presence of God. The retreats focused on unity and students were introduced to movements inspired by the Holy Spirit working toward unity in accord with Jesus prayer “Father, that all be one (Jn 17:21).

GUEST SPEAKER DISCUSSES IMPORTANCE OF NUTRITION The Middle Level welcomed Kelsey Mulder, a nutritional health coach from Natural Grocers, on November 10th to visit with students. She talked to athletes about healthy eating choices and the importance of fueling their bodies for athletics. Throughout the school year, IWA provides its students with the knowledge to live a healthy lifestyle by promoting fitness and wellness in physical education classes, athletic teams, and by encouraging families to participate in the school's annual Angel Mile run.
