present to you my garden flipbook. This flipbook brings about discoveries, as I have observed and explored the growth of my plants from a dish garden to a terrarium.
My mission is to give you a glance of my experience as I become a plantita for the last almost two months. This is made as a requirement for my Botany Lecture class. Photos and trivias are served for your enjoyment throughout your journey in this flipbook.
I, myself admits that I do not have a green thumb but I think I was able to maintain the freshness of my plants. The core of

The First Bloom Taken on July 1, 2021
4 | ADAPTATION
This is the first week of my plants. My mom and I decided to just get some plants in our garden for my dish garden for us not to go out anymore.
I also chose to do a dish garden because my parents have some spare dishes in our garden. The plants I chose to put have different heights because I wanted the plants to represent heaven, man, and earth. The plants in my dish were: Sanseviera Kalanchoe Dracaena Mammillaria Fukien tea tree Sedum Vietnam rose Huernia Monadenium Euphorbia Gasteria

I also made sure that these plants can survive with each other in a single environment.
Observations for the first week The concept of heaven, man, and earth remained as it is throughout the first week. The growth of the plants were very visible. Some flowers from the Vietnam rose bloomed and extra leaves of the cactus were seen.
With the right amount of sunlight and water, the plants becomes and looks more fresh and alive.

Continuous growth Week 2
Second week came and my plants are continuously growing. Another flowering plant bloomed and it was nice! The plants are also becoming greener as time goes by.
It was also observed that the plants only blooms at daytime and gets wilt at the nighttime. Despite the differences of the plant species, the plants continuous to grow and adapt with each other in order to live harmoniously.

Bloom where you are planted Week 3 | July 22-29, 2021
The continuous growth of my plants were very evident throughout the week. So this week, I decided to put transfer them in a glass environment, changing from a dish garden to becoming a terrarium.
10 | ADAPTATION
Thus, it was refreshing for the eyes to see my plants in a new environment. For the first days, the plants were as alive and fresh as before. This was a manifestation that the plants were able to adapt and live even in a sudden change of setting. Although, it rained the whole week, the plaints were able to survive without enough sunlight.
THE ROUGH ROAD
Week 4 | July 29-August 5, 2021
12 | ADAPTATION
This is the week where the plants started to become yellow in color because of the presence of too much moisture.
After the plants were moved in the terrarium, they started to get wilt and become dry. This is a manifestation that the plants were hard up on adapting to the new environment. Moreover, the flowering plants did not have any flower to show this week.

This week, the fifth week, the plants were in a bad shape. I do not know the reason why they are drying up ang having white spots in their leaves. It's also been a long time since the Vietnam rose bloomed a flower.
It's saddening to see some of my plants getting dry but I reflected and realized that there will be always a time where we experience a red zone in our lives, so are the plants.

The Final WEEK 6 | AUGUST 12-19, 2021
16 | ADAPTATION
Some plants are still dry and have wilted so I decided to take the terrarium outdoor for the plants to receive enough sunlight. Last week I thought that my plants were drying out because of too much moisture but I was wrong because I believe that they dried out because they are not receiving enough sunlight for their growth.

is beautiful but not always easy, it has
problems, too, and the challenge lies in facing them with courage, letting the beauty of life act like a balm, which makes the pain bearable, during trying times, by providing hope
Happiness, sorrow, victory, defeat, day-night are the two sides of the me coin. Similarly life is full of moments of joy, pleasure, success and comfort punctuated by misery, defeat, failures and problems. There is no human being on earth, strong, powerful, wise or rich, who has not experienced, struggle, suffering or failure.
Same story applies to plants. Some plants do prosper and some plants don't. However, adaptation is a process where things adjust to the environment in order to survive.
This flipbook may not end as a happy story, let it be a reminder for us to not give up because in every after rain, there will always be a rainbow.
