Maureen Zacharki

My home is in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. I was educated and worked in several disciplines of theatre and the visual arts.

I’m definitely still evolving as a photographer I enjoy experimenting with different brands and types of cameras – digital, 35mm and just recently instant cameras I’m a big enthusiast of photo effects, filters and post manipulation In the future, I would like to explore using lens filters and different lighting techniques that I learned in theatre. There is a multitude of subject matter that I am drawn to… mainly, self-portraitures and ideas, objects and places that are close and endearing to me

PAINTING

I do mostly concept art or art that adds to history All my stories are representations of true events of our times that I witnessed or experienced While working on a particular concept I have done multiple paintings on the same theme I like to return to a concept again and again with new imagery. In my work I emphasize beauty, confidence, uncertainty, perseverance, self-awareness, a hunger that feels authentic, but more than that - convincing, relevant, something that demanded that I make this, incorporating all of me and the unknown parts of myself

Geeta Yerra

Suzanne K. Milton

I have always loved bright, bold colors and I enjoy expressing myself through them My paintings reflect my emotions; my highs and lows I like to paint in the abstract because emotions aren't concrete, black and white concepts They blend together, get confused together, contradict each other and don't always make sense In addition to that I have recently begun to use words in my paintings because sometimes I do want to give concrete expression to those emotions. I love abstract because it always amazes me how the same painting affects everyone differently

Anna Sibila

I am especially interested in drawing and painting invented human faces. The colour of my paintings and drawing seeks the reaction of the audience, all the characters look directly at the viewer provoking a reaction in them to look inside

The canvas, in the eyes of artist Sonja Kobrehel, is a theatre, a place where feelings, concepts, patterns, and shapes converge in a play of color and light Sonja's paintings encourage visitors to take their time, observe the intricate details, and interpret the forms and colors Her paintings provide a moment of calm and introspection in a fast-paced world allowing us to connect with our own feelings and experiences
