PHOTOGRAPHER

MICHAEL STEFF I have spent most of my life with my head down and my eyes shut tot the world due to a long and complicated history of substance abuse. 11 years ago I put down the drugs and picked up a camera. I do a lot of street photography as I love the little interaction that follows between myself & the subject the moment they realise what just happened.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Photographer Miguel Melleiro Junior I'm Miguel Melleiro Junior, I'm 52 years old and I'm from Jundiaí - State of São Paulo - Brazil. I worked professionally as a product photographer for 10 years (2000 - 2010). In 2010 my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease, so I decided to interrupt my professional career as a photographer to take care of my mother full time. Since I have time off once a month, I go out to photograph in cities near Jundiaí. In April 2017 I began photographing in Paranapiacaba, and in just over a year I formed a portfolio of this small railway village with approximately 1000 inhabitants, founded in the 19th century by the English engineers of the English railway company São Paulo Railway.

PHOTOGRAPHER

A.U. "DAN" DANIELS

Dan is a mostly-retired bioengineering scientist and a long-time photographer. He is a dual USA and Swiss citizen, living in Canton Basel since 2000. He used to take lots of full-frame 35 mm film photos but got tired of the film/print process and slacked off. In 2002, digital cameras got him clicking again. Dan has had a couple of shows, but since ca. 2013 has generally just posted to Flickr.

Photographer Bob Gajdoš Bob Gajdoš is an amateur photographer living in Uherské Hradiště, Czech Republic. He is interested in photography since his youth, he was still shooting a film and a roll of film. More importantly, he started to do it with the advent of digital technology. JAAMZIN CREATIVE | 5

PHOTOGRAPHY

David Strom I started photographing the urban landscape about 3 years ago, as I became fascinated by the ever-changing interactions of the built world. Architecture itself is intentional, but the city is created by the unpredictable interactions of people and buildings with their surroundings and the natural world. I try to capture the relationships of buildings with their surroundings, exploring the reflections, overlaps, pairings, light and colors which change by the minute. These create layers that add a new dimension to our view of the city. I am based in Minneapolis, and the vast majority of my photographs have been taken in the Twin Cities metropolitan area. I hope to expand my photography to other cities.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Goran Boričić I am Goran Boričić, I live and work in Podgorica, Montenegro. For me, photography is a style of life, photography is an attitude to everyday life and to the life which happens in front of your eyes. From that attitude derives the style. Photography has power in which a photographer freezes the moment of the real life. Photography is a faithful companion of my life, an inseparable part of my being. I do not live from photography, I do live for photography. What is the street without people? Is it just a bad rolled concrete? Or a pile of dust? In fact, nothing. So we should therefore preserve people…..in majority of my photographs are people, at least in the form of silhouettes – which means that people play an important role in my photographs. PHOTOGRAPHY

Karin de Bruin My name is Karin de Bruin, mother of 2 sons and living in the beautiful western part of The Netherlands. I have always been interested in art. I began liking art at a very young age visiting the National Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. Still I like to go there. I love Landscape Photography the most. Sometimes I try to catch the beauty of a complete scenery but also zooming in on details is what I really like. I love my Canon camera, it helps me even in the most difficult circumstances. I have a wide range of lenses but I use my 24-70 the most.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Russ Kerlin Russ is an amateur photographer who has been making images for over 45 years, though he readily admits that his early photographs were not very good. In fact, he says it has only been in the last 10 years or so that his artistic vision, along with his technical skills, have begun to mature.  For most of those 45+ years Russ was an analogue photographer, starting with 35mm and later medium format, which included developing his own film and prints in a home darkroom. He moved to digital just three years ago, which he says has substantially evolved his photographic capabilities and in turn his passion for photography.

PHOTOGRAPHER

NICK GREEN

I’m a professional screenwriter and photographer. For me, the camera is like a child: it can see things in a fresh way and reveal the beauty beneath, beyond, and within what we call banal. Like photography, art is a lifelong passion. I can’t remember a time when it wasn’t everything ... and science everything else. I can’t see a place where art ends and good science begins. It’s all creative thinking and/or keen observation.

JAAMZIN CREATIVE | 13

VISUAL ARTIST

NICK GREEN

It seems to me that impressions are remarkably similar to assumptions. When doing fine art, the artist can assume nothing. S/he must record exactly what they see. It’s a sort of philosophy. But then so is surfing – and surfing rocks, right? I’m based just outside London, which rocks, too. Question: is great art the ultimate in subjectivity or objectivity? Hit me up with some answers, people...

DIGITAL ARTIST

YUUKI KAWAKAMI Yuuki Kawakami has been working on production and general planning / direction of opening title sequences of feature films and TV dramas and CI's by incorporating 3D CGI of graphical renderings onto the same. [Award]Grand Prize of Miraikan's Geo-Cosmos Content Contest 2014 /2015/2017

Pouring abstraction This is an abstract visual image inspired by painting techniques called Pouring. Just like matière, an art technique which poured paint flux into each other; this motion graphic visualizes what happens when we pour sound into an object. Here, we expressed how an object might react with their movement and textures. Exhibited at “Shinjuku Creators Festa 2017”

DIGITAL ART

If time is a shared scale of measurement, every phenomenon occurring on that time axis (timeline) should exist simultaneously as overlapped layers that continue to occur on various scales even at this very moment. In this piece of work, finely-cropped, abstract images are projected all at the same time using multiple projectors, and are reflected with a certain depth on the transparent screens laid out three-dimensionally. The idea is that all states can exist concurrently as generation and disappearance repeat themselves. This work was exhibited at an underground art space at Hilton Tokyo for "Shinjuku Creators Festa 2017".Â

SEIICHI SEGA Seiichi Sega developed a new method of expression for high-end CGI as an approach in an abstract way which is different from photorealism, by incorporating methods of programming, simulation of physics and generative art. He has been engaged in a variety of 3D motion graphics projects using such method. After going through production of high-end CGI for commercials and films, his main focus is direction of title logo for TV programs and CI's as well as projects for different formats such as projection on celestial sphereshaped dome, globe-typed display and cube-typed display.

GRAPHIC ART

BYOUS

Byous. Artist currently living in California, U.S.A. Focuses on creating art that is completely detached from time, culture, genre or rationalization, in an effort to capture the raw and timeless simplicity of the experience of the human soul. I get most of my inspiration from a complete lack of physical input, I want to keep it as mental and uncontrived as possible. I need to keep my mind and heart as pure as I can. I like the raw, honest, vulnerability and energy of it. I currently sell limited edition prints, and will soon have originals available, exclusively on the website.

ARTIST

Beyond the differences around the subject (an ode to masculine beauty or the relationships between shapes and colors in a composition) the unifying element of my work is the technique, where I combine the analogical world with the digital one. I create shapes and textures with monocopy, digitize them and work in the computer, sometimes intuitively, others with a lot of predetermination.

WRITING

DAVID CHISLETT David Chislett is an established writer, born In Portsmouth, raised in Johannesburg and based in Amsterdam. He comes from a strong journalistic background and has published several works in various formats. Cannibal Royale Tic turns to toc Luck turns to lock Method turns to routine And write into rut As naturally into entropy These thoughts decline The winds of yesterday Fuel the fire That burns work into irrelevance Through its new and sudden failures Like ploughing the chaff Back under the ground Grinding the fish into fertiliser A fish head stares up at me One eye agape and ruined Asking WHY When just yesterday you were so proud of me? Just ash

WRITING

The Shen The Shen comprises one hundred and eleven non-fiction 'sections'. The sections often seem ambiguous and random, but in these qualities they attempt to infer a deeper order and a more obscure symmetry. In this obscurity they reflect human reality - the only reality we have. They express a variety of contemplations that are presented organically rather than according to subject matter. The book seeks to portray moral philosophy as an imperative of life: a way of living. It ventures that all ideology must be functional to have relevance. It suggests that ethics are essential, elemental; a litmus of evolution, and as vital to the human spirit as bread is to the body from which the spirit springs. The Shen is a very human observation of the world in that its apparent contradictions and abstraction reflect those we think only we can find in nature, of which we are part. It espouses humility above all, and seeks to encourage humanity's ultimate product: peace. Nicholas Jonathan GreenÂ

MUSIC

STRUMTAP StrumTap Growing up in Chorley, iconic duo, StrumTap first met at an open mic night in 2016, were they performed together for the first time. Both of the lads described it as a instant click that just worked. They tried forming as a group a few years ago, but it didnt feel right, up until recently they formed again and things really started to come together for them. Having recently performed at the DW Stadium, the lads have grew in confidence since then, and decided they wanted to take music more serious, as a career. Inspired by musicians such as Newton Faulkner & Damien Rice, the sound of their music is a mixed genre of folk/indie. You can also hear some inspiration from Mumford & Sons in their music.

MUSIC

HATS OFF GENTLEMEN IT’S ADEQUATE Hats Off Gentlemen It’s Adequate is a proggy, funky, defiant and sometimes poignant London, UK based rock band. Broken But Still Standing, Hats Off Gentlemen It's Adequate's third album, is a science/science-fiction themed concept album. It follows the story of human evolution, from LUCA, the last universal common ancestor of all current life on earth, via Lucy, one of the possible precursors of our species, to conflict and eventual symbiosis with artificial intelligences. The general theme of the album is that life has progressed by forming coalitions, whether between the primitive cells that engulfed each other to become the cell and the mitochondria (the power stations of the cell), between individuals to form communities, or between different forms of life in the future.
