IHAV FOUNDATION – Vision in ACTion! The vision is audacious, the task is big, but one ACT at a time, we will give Africa a facelift and be the light in our so-called dark continent. – IHAV Foundation IHAV (I have a Vision) is a non profit organization established to support youth development through capacity building and employment generation. The IHAV Conference is designed to raise a generation of young African entrepreneurs who will collaboratively work to create employment and provide sustainable solutions to Africa’s challenges. This year the conference will be held under the broad theme “Creating An Agribusiness Revolution With Africa’s Youth”. Through this conference we seek to engage African youth in addressing the issue of sustainability in agriculture and increasing productivity of Africa's agricultural system through research and innovation in a way that will bring about a process change and trigger an Agribusiness revolution across the continent. This will in turn lead to a reduction in youth unemployment and a marked improvement in people’s livelihoods. This exciting event is scheduled to take place from July 30 to August 2, 2014. Within the 4 days of the conference, IHAV will offer participants coaching and mentoring through lectures and roundtable sessions with business leaders, dialogues and debates with fellow participants and facilitators to inspire and motivate them through shared experiences, and group project challenges to enhance innovation and creativity among them and challenge them to bring up solutions to everyday challenges that otherwise they would have ignored and expected others to resolve. Participation include 100 outstanding and innovative young problem solvers between the ages 18 and 28, carefully selected from a rigorous online application system from across the country and continent, and over 15 prominent business and political leaders and change champions who are actively working towards Africa’s rise to prosperity.
