Berlin, 2014 Wedding , Berlin Germany Spring Housing Studio Housing on a North Facing Party Wall
Distorted Mirrors
Residential
To expand spacial qualities, and create the illusion of a private oasis a mirror runs along the firewall. To avoid awkward peeping tom moments the mirrors are distorted in a triangular pattern
To bring light into the housing, the architecture peels away from the firewall creating a southern facing facade and green courtyard for the residents
Public Space / Ventilation Volume
Offices / Bar / Resturant
The Public Space is a large atrium that gives the community a place to socialize and interact. Being pressed against a dark firwall it peks out through large voids in all directions bringing in light, fresh air and outdoor space
Being on an ative part of the site the bottom of the archtiecture is given over to Offices, a Bar, and a Resturant

Roof Garden The roof garden will provide a private oasis for the souther facing facade. It will also improve thermal properties in the concrete volume, aid in water removal from the surface and reduce noise escape from the concrete volume
Wood Screen The local wood screen could be manufactured at the nearby Artist Studios and allows for a lot of ventilation and rain protection
