CONCEPT

The crescendo’s “climax” is the grand triple-height atrium where people enter the building

The building’s sweeping double facade reinforces the concept around the building while also providing sunlight and acoustic protection

CONCEPT: CRESCENDO

gn will follow the concept of a crescendo. A crescendo defined is the gradual increase ess in music to the song’s climax. This ties into the area’s culture as a crescendo is an ant part in the structure of Brazil’s most prominent music genre, Samba. It also goes is idea of increasing loudness as the locals of Brazil get together and socialize. The t will influence the architectural form through an inclining shape of the facade and ating drama and intensity through different volumes, and the use of lines and curves to hint at the sheet music crescendo.

DIAGRAM:

The inclining height of the main structure follows the concept while providing tiered roof terraces and negating broken sight-lines of the adjacent building
