Have you taken a golf lesson and it did not help?
If you want to get better, it’s a process. A commitment between the player and the coach. If you want a tip or a one-off lesson, I wish you the best on your game improvement journey, but I might not be the right coach for you.
My goal is to be a comprehensive coach for you. I want to assess your body and measure your swing. I want to watch you play golf and help you make a comprehensive plan. Improvement isn’t linear, and careful guidance will help you have the right context for your game. Many times, your scores are a trailing indicator for real improvement.
All of my programs are commitment based, both for you and for me. With a membership, we’re able to work together to diversify the kinds of lessons you take—like an indoor putting lab session or combing two one-hour sessions for a 3D capture. We can also create a work plan to address specific aspects of your game, like wedge play.
Why a membership? You can lock in the dates you want earlier than those booking by the hour. Membership clients are also the only players eligible to take indoor lessons in the pre-season period February 25 to April 1.

Michael Jacobs will help you see exactly how you move your body and the club during a swing—and you’ll get expert guidance from an instructor who has given more than 25,000 lessons and has mentored players on every major tour around the world. His current students have won major championships, professional and amateur tournaments and have broken personal scoring records while under his consultation.
Michael was voted by his peers as one of the 50 Best Teachers in America by Golf Digest, and he is also one of Golf Magazine’s Top 100 Teachers in America, a Golf Digest Best Young Teacher in America and Golf Digest Best Teacher in New York State. The PGA of America has recognized him as the 2012 Metropolitan Section PGA Teacher of the Year and the 2020 Professional Development Award winner for his contributions toward educating other golf professionals. Michael was also one of the keynote speakers at the 2017 PGA Teaching and Coaching Summit.
He is the only golf instructor to have designed his own research software, which measures the forces and torques at work in a golf swing. He is the author of the Elements of the Swing, Swing Tips You Should Forget, and his latest release, The Science of the Swing.
Michael has also published several academic papers with Dr. Nesbit, and is working on a comprehensive history of the golf swing.
Dr. Steven Nesbit

Dr. Nesbit is Professor Emeritus of Mechanical Engineering at Lafayette College, where he has spent 30 years devoted to the study of human sports movement. He was the designer of the USGA's original golf swing study that determined the contributions of the player and club to driving distance and has served as the Chief Technology Officer of Jacobs 3D for the past 10 years.
Dr. Nesbit is considered to be the father of golf biomechanics with his seminole paper "Work and Power Analysis of the Golf Swing". He and Michael Jacobs are constantly upgrading their 3D Golf Analysis Systems. Dr. Nesbit is always working behind the scenes to verify the biomechanical models being used by Michael Jacobs in his daily teaching and instructional content.
