Dr. Steven Nesbit Chief
Technology Officer
Dr. Nesbit is Professor Emeritus of Mechanical Engineering at Lafayette College, where he has spent 30 years devoted to the study of human sports movement. He was the designer of the USGA's original golf swing study that determined the contributions of the player and club to driving distance and has served as the Chief Technology Officer of Jacobs 3D since 2012.
Dr. Nesbit is the father of golf biomechanics with his renowned research paper “Work and Power Analysis of the Golf Swing.” He and Michael Jacobs are constantly upgrading their 3D Golf Analysis Systems, and Dr. Nesbit is always working behind the scenes to verify the biomechanical models being used to teach and develop instruction content. Dr. Nesbit and Jacobs are also the authors of multiple peer-review academic papers.

Two-Day Immersion
Day one kicks off on a Wednesday afternoon at 1 PM. You’ll undergo a comprehensive assessment of your body and golf swing. The 3D analysis take about 2.5 hours, followed by a final hour dedicated to implementing the instruction and training.
Day two starts at 9 AM on Thursday morning. From 9 AM to 12:30 PM, we’ll focus on refining your swing mechanics. Short game skills can also be addressed at any time during the twoday experience, based on your request. By the end of the program, you'll leave with the most comprehensive biomechanical analysis and personalized improvement plan available anywhere in the world.

Two-hour Lesson
Two-hour lessons are available on Wednesdays in 2025
•During your two-hour session, you can focus on any element of the game you choose—full swing, short game or putting. Many students will do a combination of long and short game.
Lesson and Membership Policies
•All golf lesson purchases are valid for the season in which they’re purchased. The last day of the season is October 19, 2025.
•Lesson payments are due at the time of booking. Payments must be made through the online reservation system.
•Memberships are non-refundable once they have started or 30 days after purchase.
•Refunds for the Two-hour lesson are available up to 14 days before the scheduled lesson.
•Rescheduling for the Two-hour lesson is available up to 7 days before the scheduled lesson.
•Refunds for the Two-day Immersion are available up to 30 days before the scheduled lesson.

• Silver and Gold members can use a launch monitor when they practice at Rock Hill with their Range membership. When you come for your first lesson of the season, Michael Jacobs will give you a tutorial on how to use and access the launch monitor.
• All lesson members can book tee times at Rock Hill Golf Club 10 days in advance instead of the general seven-day window. To book tee times, just call the pro shop and identify yourself and the staff will set you up for tee times.
• In 2024, we started a quarterly Webinar program. We will be doing a quarterly Webinar series again in 2025 and as a lesson member you are automatically enrolled in the webinars.
