It’s been a while, I confess. A summer of far, far too much heat and not enough interconnectivity kept you and me apart. To say I haven’t missed you would be not only a lie, but a travesty; I regress. To blame my absence on the swelters of August or my inability to troubleshoot chokes our trust. I needed the deprivation, this catharsis: a selfish, silly vacation in limbo. While it cheapened our bond, it heightened my senses. My twilight gave me the courage to cowardly tell you over these ubiquitous summer days: come back.
This second issue of ARKHAM Magazine, the ‘Confession Issue,’ was a happy accident. Months of gathering civilian secrets from anonymous sites and online chatrooms led us to this deceivingly lunar and highly systematic conglomeration before you. Find a truth through these leaves. Inhibit neither revolt nor empathy. The page numbers are garnishes, the chapters are up to interpretation and the AC is blasting.

Creative director
“The more you leave out, the more you highlight what you leave in.”
ARKHAM’s mission is to illustrate a symbiosis between people and the elements of being. Our commitment to you is what we live for. This issue, “Confession Issue,” is concentrated on the specific human condition of secrets and confession. What you’re holding are the many authors’ interpretations of secrets and confessions to you. We utilized this as a chance to interact with you, our reader, and help you through your sins and transgressions. We always have you in mind; secrets die when no one has heard them. Relieve your mind, and think as you will. We’ve cured your guilty conscience of all the wrongs you’ve done. Interpret this book in solitude: peaceful and alone; use these photographs and literature to free yourself. Give these sins one last thought and treat this reading as your confessional. We have illustrated your repentance and washed away your sins, and now grant you the freedom to sin again.
