01 Greetings Division 5 Key Clubbers, Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year, well spent with loved ones. Remember to be grateful for everything you have because there are so many people who are less fortunate. Continue being a servant leader to the best of your ability to make the world a better place. As my term is almost half over, anyone who is interested in being the 2017-2018 Lieutenant Governor, please contact me so I can tell you a brief overview of the responsibilities of being a Lieutenant Governor and how the election process will go! The Divisional Election Conference (DEC) will happen in between late-January or early February in conjunction with a PCM and the Divisional Project that day! The date and location will be announced soon! If you are planning on attending DCON, please make sure to begin fundraising properly and saving up funds for the trip. Create a budget and start collecting payment plans from the members so that they are ready for the trip! Remember to continually recruit members and always keep your members busy with service projects. Keep them engaged and continue thinking outside of the box to make the Key Club experience this year the best that it can be! I appreciate you guys contacting me whenever you need help or you guys just want to talk. Remember that I am always here to support you whenever you need me. I hope everyone has a fantastic time at school and good luck on your finals! Please pass all of your tests! Yours in Service, Jada Hudgins 2016-2017 Lt. Governor Division 5

04 Hairy Leg Contest: Whether male faculty staff or students, willing contestants’ legs are clearly photographed and the pictures of their legs are fastened to jars. The contestant with the most donations will shave or wax a part (or all) of their leg. This is hopefully accomplished at a public school event, such as a school rally. One vote costs a quarter (or some other monetary value), and the money is placed in the jar. Students may vote during lunch, in classes, or any specified time.

Save or Shave: Choose a willing teacher who is ready to donate his beard for a fundraiser. Students then vote with money whether the beard should be saved or shaved. Students will vote by depositing monetary donations into two jars; one to save and the other to shave. At the end of the voting period, the jar with the most donations will determine the fate of the beard (it is hopefully shaved at a school assembly).
