11th EDITION of GENERATIONS CLUB Briefing Note Generations Club 2017 aims at building continuity on the findings of last year’s event, and therefore will focus on bridging the entrepreneurial skills identified with one of the most up-to-date and important themes for the future of the young generation in Europe and around the globe: Sustainable Innovation. The invitation-only event will gather high-level representatives from companies, institutions and NGOs, and will see the guests taking part in parallel discussions in different focus groups
to share opinions on the topic and collect concrete conclusions to be disseminated to relevant stakeholders and policymakers. The event has a limited number of people participating as this layout has been proven to be very effective in creating more transparent and meaningful conversations between the participants.
We wish all participants and insightful and productive session.

We, as young people, must take responsibility as well as any other citizen, institution and company in the world, to support this call to action and ensure a bright future for the people to come. Youth NGOs, like JADE, are in a position where they can lead and influence an increasing number of young people to shift their mindset and look towards a more sustainable approach to their daily life. Whether this means creating more entrepreneurial ventures, or implementing sustainable ideas in institutions and companies, it is pivotal that our generation devotes to GIORGIO SLEITER

Pre-event facts and figures Generations Club has been able to represent a cumulative number of 37m youths in its events with a variety of themes covered throughout the years. Some topics discussed before: (1) Confrontation of the skills mismatch in Europe; (2) What are the skills that youth need to develop? (3) How will the workplace of 2025 look like? Previous findings in Generations Club have highlighted the need of a more entrepreneurial society. This entails the development of entrepreneurial skills required to create business ventures as well as creating value in each company as intrapreneurs. In both cases, it has
been recognised that todays’ environment has failed to create enough opportunities for students to develop and bridge the lack of skills in young people all over Europe eventually causing the skills mismatch in the working environment in which we live now. Previous surveys in Generations Club have shown:
The most relevant entrepreneurial skills identified in the previous edition were to be developed in:
