MISSGUIDED HOME

Missguided Home was a project initiated by myself and informed by the research and analysis conducted within my final year case study. The concept behind this project is to introduce a new homeware extension to the existing brand 'Missguided'. The project is made up of three major components which includes a Marketing Report, Lookbook and Press Pack, which each play a role in the successful positioning and promotion of the new collection. The marketing report covered all brand information such as values and identity, competitor analysis and consumer research. The report also detailed all promotional and campaign elements of the new collection, including important information regarding the products and prices of the Missguided Home range. The Lookbook was styled using products from the collection which were separated into two different themes of 'Tropical' and 'Marbled'. The Lookbook images were also used for promotion within the campaign. The Press Pack was also part of the promotional activity with a press release, company information and a media list being used to communicate the new collection to the press.

inclus MAGAZINE Editor in-chief inclus is a magazine that sets out to challenge the norms of society. In terms of beauty, fashion, ideas, concepts, visual culture and topical taboos, inclus aims to target, analyse and deconstruct the perceptions and ideologies through imagery, narrative and intellectual exploration. This was a collaborative brief with a group of university peers in which I was appointed as Editor in-chief. The position involved a number of roles including writing, creative direction, editing, proof reading and creating ideas and concepts to be featured. All images were original with little or no editing was used throughout all imagery to ensure authenticity and validity to the concept of the magazine. Additional advertising was sourced and permissions received to use imagery and logo's. Group Members: Megan Shaw, Amy Pollard, Thea Wilkie

CASE STUDY

AN INVESTIGATION INTO FAST FASHION AND ITS RELATION WITH INTERIOR DESIGN The purpose of the final year case study was to illustrate and investigate the exact influence fashion is having upon the retailing industry and specifically of its relation to interiors. The study drew upon current markets of both fashion and homeware in order to support the investigation and evaluate relevant contributing factors. It aimed to determine whether fashions influence on interiors has triggered a 'fast fashion' like system and discover whether this is sustainable for the future. Relying on both primary and secondary research such as consumer surveys and interviews as well as published reports and journals to analyse and conclude the study.

Example research methods used to form analysis and conclusions within the case study. A transcribed interview and snapshot of the consumer survey, both seeking to gain insight into consumers attitudes and behaviours towards fashionable homewares.

BRAND 'X'

'X' was a new brand created as part of a second year group project which aimed to fill a gap in the market and was made up of two components; lookbook and brand handbook. The concept behind the new brand was to create a fashion retailer which is not defined by gender or conformed to sexual stereotypes. The creation of a gender fluid brand came as a result of observed attitudes to subject amongst the younger demographic. My role within this project was a combination of creative direction and styling as well as writing and proof reading. I was the lead creative on the shoots, taking control of the styling and direction but I also wrote the copy for many parts of the handbook such as the brand values, positioning and social media campaign.

BNTM INTERVIEW

The Britain's Next Top Model interview was a booked editorial shoot alongside an interview with BNTM finalist Bethan Sowerby. I was contacted to conduct the interview and whilst assisting on the day we discussed all things related with her experience of the Britain's Next Top Model competition and show, personal life, health/fitness and beauty regime. The editorial was a collaborative shoot working alongside a team of photographers, stylist, hair & makeup. The style and theme of the shoot was 'seventies glamour', which took place at Artisan, Manchester. After transcribing the interview, I wrote up the article and the work was submitted to a number of publications. So where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?

"I hope to have modelled full time, and got some big names under my belt. Kind of be known as successful if that makes sense? Even if its like 'oh god that girl from bntm's done well. I just want to be successful, and make a bit of money doing something that I love".
