TRANSLATIONS As we all know LaGeo has been our Corporate Classes client for many years and now they requested some translations services and we were glad to help them out. Thanks for your trust. INTERPRETATIONS In addition, the British Embassy requested some interpreting services and we were glad to offer our help. Speak feels proud to work with such an important institution as the British Embassy.
LANGUAGE MAINTENANCE Everything you have needs to be maintained at one point or another to guarantee optimum efficiency and smooth trouble-free operation. Your car requires an oil change, your computer needs to be cleaned, your home has to be painted even friendships need maintenance. But what about maintaining a second or other foreign language? I think this is something we can easily oversee. A second language could be tricky to detect when it is time to do something about improving it. A simple test I think is to do a self-diagnostic. Read an article, watch a TV program or have a conversation with a stranger in the foreign language you studied in the past or are currently learning. This will help you determine if it is time for maintenance, some clues could be the level of comprehension established but also how comfortable you felt in that situation. Many of us get caught up in the day to day routine at work and forget about or don’t make the time to take care of our assets. Can a second language be considered an asset? Of course it can. It gives you as a person, as a professional added value in today’s modern world. This is why I am convinced that if you don’t learn a language at 100% and even if you do you must maintain it by practicing as much as you can and as often as you can. Otherwise little by little you will start forgetting words and then there’s a moment when everything becomes a blur and you start to lose your feel for the language.

In this issue we feature Mrs. Yuri Granadino from Sistemas C&C as the company she works for recently joined our ever-growing list of Corporate Classes. Let’s read what she has to say! PERSONAL LIFE I´ve always dreamed about being completely bilingual in English, I just love English and I'm currently working on it. PROFESSIONAL CAREER As of today, English is a necessary plus in my résumé. I read and send e-mails in English every day, I make phone calls feeling more confident about myself and my skills. HOW DO YOU LEARN BEST? Well, I´m in level 3A (Upper Intermediate), I thank my teacher for correcting me at the moment I make a mistake in class. Practicing with my classmates, listening to the selfstudy DVD, and sometimes watching movies completely in English, all of these are my best ways to learn. SPEAK EXPERIENCE I like the teaching methodology, the corporate level that they show in each class. Teachers make examples, write, explain until I understand a specific word, a verb, a phrase or idiom.

EASTER WEEK AND VACATION!
Palm Sunday marks the start of Easter Week. It reminds Christians of the journey Jesus made into Jerusalem, on a donkey, to celebrate the Jewish festival of Passover (Pesach). Jesus chose a donkey to show that he had come in peace. Many people welcomed Jesus by shouting, waving palm branches and throwing branches down to the path of the donkey. They hoped Jesus was the Savior who the Bible had promised. On Palm Sunday Christians are given small palm crosses made from palm leaves. Leftover palm crosses are kept for a special church service on the first day of Lent, the following year, when they are burnt (Ash Wednesday). This ash is put on people's foreheads as the sign of the cross. Lent starts on Ash Wednesday. The last week of Lent is known as Easter Week. It is when Christians remember the last week of Jesus' life and is the most important time in the Christian year. There are many church services and processions.
VACATION IS ALMOST HERE! Let's be blunt: If you like to take lots of vacations, this is your moment. Besides a handful of national holidays, the typical worker bee gets two or three precious weeks off out of a whole year to relax and see the world much less than what people in many other countries receive. So this is a great opportunity you don’t want to miss, go pack your stuff and let your spirit fly far away from all the problems, work, things that might be stressful and enjoy the peaceful sound of the beaches or the exquisite smell of the mountains. There are many places you can visit to relax and have a good time. So, what are you waiting for?! Wonderful places are waiting for you!

Remember vacation time is close and that means hot weather, drink a lot of water and rock this great weather with the right look!
GENTLEMEN, the options you have are: some dark jeans with a white shirt. For a more professional look, don’t forget to wear a jacket, could be beige or a dark color to match your pants. If you want to go out and feel more relaxed some shorts, tennis shoes, and shirt will have you set. Summer time, shades time! Accessorize your look with cool shades to look even better!

THE MASTERS 1000’S COURT The diverse city of Miami is hosting The Masters 1000, which is the tennis championship that embraces the top of the top of tennis players from the globe. This past weekend locals, tourists and viewers witnessed multiple tennis games in which famous players such as Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer and Andy Murray appeared on the courts, to give us a great deal of a show. Rafa Nadal for example, “came in like a wrecking ball” and smashed Fabio Fogini. This win places Nadal into a very privileged position, which can bring him directly into the finals if he continues doing “that” great job. Djokovic did an excellent job as well and he will go directly into the next stage. For the next couple of days we will enjoy the excitement of this sport and soon we will have a conqueror of the trophy.

This time we’ll learn how to GET FIT FOT THIS SUMMER! Step 1
Start an exercise plan. First you have to think about warming up your muscles by stretching for at least 5 minutes and then a 30 minute jog.
Step 2
Do the exercise (according to your plan). Abs, biceps, triceps, etc., you have to work the part of your body that you think needs more help.

EAT HEALTHY! After exercising you can eat fruit and drink a lot of water for your hydration, and an hour later you can eat properly (proteins, maybe some carbs, etc.) but don’t go overboard, you need to eat because you need the energy, you don’t need to gain weight.
Step 4
Swim. Make some time in your schedule to go swimming. Why? Because it’s one of the most complete exercises, you have to use all of your muscles and that’s very important.
Step 5
Make it fun. Mix up the exercises every week, don’t think about it as a routine and think about it as a very athletic way to listen to your favorite music. Make a playlist of your favorite music (especially songs that are really fast) and exercise with a beat.
