The Brilliance of CPD
If there is one thing every business woman should do, it is CPD. CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development, and is defined as: Intentionally developing the knowledge, skills and personal competence to perform professional responsibilities to be the best you can be at work’. In its simplest format, CPD is a structured approach to lifelong learning. It is a formula that can be applied to any industry, and every discipline. Ensuring that professional individuals keep developing their competence, and growing their expertise. CPD is present in all forms of workplace learning, whether its online training courses, coaching programmes, digital webinars, or self-directed learning through video or reading. When a blend of proactive learning activities is undertaken throughout a year, it provides relevant, memorable and interesting information. Hence, it is a vehicle that keeps us up to date, and stops formal qualifications becoming obsolete.
CPD for Business Women & Leaders

Today’s highest achieving business women all share one common theme, the humble concept of being a student for life. The savviest, most successful, business leaders are aware that there is always more to learn, and appreciate their strengths and weaknesses. By intentionally setting time aside to train and
learn, they can both hone mastery on existing skill and knowledge sets. As well as, stepping out of their comfort zone to explore, and harness, new professional constructs, technologies and working practices.
In today’s pandemic world, individuals in the workforce have had to be agile, and flexible, finding new ways to communicate and work. Without realising it, we undertake CPD nearly every day, however the key to unlocking its brilliance is to check in and reflect on our learning outcomes.
Finding Great CPD
Every day in the online, digital world, there are masses of misinformation and fake news shared, as well as poor quality CPD training. The CPD Standards Office is a world leading accreditation service that verifies training providers offer authentic and useful content, that genuinely provides positive and successful learning experiences. Our awards are highly respected by Governments, professional institutes and regulatory bodies.
Our accredited providers each display a digital trustmark. A formal blue CPDSO provider badge signals they have completed our rigorous assessment process, and are authorised to provide official CPD certificates to their learners.
