Commissioning Consortium None Other Lamb was composed by Jake Runestad as part of the American Composers Forum’s Faith Partners Residency Program. This ecumenical program, designed by the American Composers Forum (ACF) and funded by the Otto Bremer Foundation, enables religious institutions to select a composer to create original musical works appropriate for use in the worship services of participating congregations. Consortium members are Faith Lutheran Church (ELCA) and The Catholic Church of the Assumption of Mary, in Morris, MN. None Other Lamb was composed in collaboration with Assumption Catholic Church, Linda Hodgson, conductor.
About the Composer Award-winning composer Jake Runestad (b. 1986) is noted for his versatility and wide range of expressive capabilities with music driven by soaring melodies, driving rhythms, and lush textures. He has received numerous commissions from ensembles and organizations such as the Virginia Arts Festival, ACDA of Minnesota, the Master Chorale of Tampa Bay, Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, Seraphic Fire, the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra, the Rockford Symphony Orchestra, the Baltimore Choral Arts Society, and the Peabody Children’s Chorus. Jake Runestad holds a Master’s degree in composition from the Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University where he studied with Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Kevin Puts. He has also studied extensively with acclaimed composers Libby Larsen and Donald Fraser. Mr. Runestad’s music is published by Boosey & Hawkes and JR Music.
