RST Application Examples Automatic Test Equipment for Aircraft Cabin Components To improve the efficiency of the costly and mostly manual acceptance testing of electronic cabin components of airliners, RST has developed a test bench consisting of four different Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) modules. With the ATE’s the extensive acceptance tests will now be performed fully automatic. Based on customers’ requirements RST has developed the hard- and software and manufactured and certified the ATE’s. The ATE’s are now successfully in operational use.
Unit Tester for Orbit Control System (OCS) For functional performance tests of the OCS of a satellite RST has developed the hard- & software for the Unit Tester. During the test the Unit Tester controls the propulsion thruster of a satellite as well as the data acquisition of temperature, pressure, currents and voltages. RST has developed and manufactured the Unit Tester based on customer’s specification and interface descriptions of the satellite.
Test Bed for Shaft Bearings of Vessels RST has realized a tailor-made test bed for dynamic load tests of shaft bearings. Based on customer specification the build-to-spec project covered project management, development, risk analysis, manufacturing and installation support, generation of documentation and finally the acceptance testing of the test bed. Development activities included design and construction of the mechanics and hydraulic as well as software development for the control unit and the communication with all sensors and actuators.
Cargo Door Tester RST has developed a Cargo Door Tester for acceptance and endurance tests applied during development and series production of the cargo doors. Starting with customer requirements, RST has designed the electrical test bench and the control software for data acquisition and control of sensors/actuators.
Software Verification & Validation For various space applications RST is analyzing customer developed software code according to coding standards, as well as conducting black box and white box testing. Software testing and engineering is done according to European Cooperation for Space Standardization (ECSS). The Customer benefits from independent and third party performed software verification and validation (ISVV).
