Both Good and Evil are two human concepts created to tear us from one big group called society. We are all victims of a world where information is created and spread faster than never and that reflects in the moment we meet someone for the first time. The idea of both Good and Evil rapidly evolved to something other than human analisys. We label people in a matter of seconds, and that opinion can be really hard to debate with some people. This fast-labelling turns people into mindless judges of humanity which results in a constant growing racist and opressive behaviour torwards eachother. As modern humans, the power of the Media plays a very important role on what we label as a good human being or an evil one. Our favorite Hollywood movie stars are often seen as role models for the young, even though most of them do nothing more than entertainment. Even Putin is recently (early 2014) under the spotlight due to Media pressure, while he has been practicing wrong unhuman actions even before being the president of Russia. In other words, our judging skill is being pulled to a whole new level thanks to our own communication services. We can not keep going on looking at people and throw them to two sacks - Good and Evil. Good and Evil is an horrible idea to start with. I would like to show you in this book that I don’t want people to believe in good or in evil. What I really want is for the reader to accept both good and evil as the two ingredients which we need to create the balance in our lives in order to live fully.

The moment we become monsters. In a really simple case: Indians and vegetarians are two groups of people that will not understand and will be offendend by people who eat one of those delicious hamburgers made of a poor cow’s meat. And no, I am not writting any pro-vegan text, but take a moment to realize how much meat is wasted everyday? And that there are so many people who are bothered by that? People who worship them, or others who don’t want animals to suffer. Are they being bad people for annoying you or are they good people for spreading a bigger cause. But there is so much that need to be prioritized before the “love animals” problem. What is the moment in our human lives that transform us into a constant judging creature? Are we born like this? Is it only people who were raised wrong, or “evil people” who judge? Even if you control it, how can we surpress it? I’m not going to answer any of these. I just want this book to be a insight journey where I make the questions and your education does the rest. What is the bridge between being a innocent happy kid and a grown-up full of stereotypes and taboos. Is there no episode where we start grouping stuff and learning other people ideals?

Hate is no laughing matter. It is the state of mind where people act and think in a destructive way. I believe that Hate is that one mood that we feel when we should seek for other human’s help. Hate is known for dragging people to a level of sadness and anger where you stop seeing the world’s beauty. And isn’t beauty the only thing this world really has to keep us going? The moment you refuse to see that you start chosing what is good and bad in order to deal with your own hatred. The yin-yang is a great icon to sum up these ideals of embrancing good or bad actions . You need light to cast a shadow. And you need darkness for light to exist. You can’t wish a life full of good things or to give up on everything and practice evil deeds. Everyone needs to act confident torwards life’s obstacules. BUT HOW SHOULD I FOLLOW A GOOD PATH FOR ME WITHOUT JUDGING MY OBSTACULES? It is by experiencing life that you will know life and hence make your decisions. The desitions will be the ones who will create and evolve you into the being you are today.

Start to look up for beauty. The western world summed up the teachings about balance given by the oriental to a whole new concept where you have to avoid evil and that good will always prosper. In my opinion, everyone who tries to escape reality and go in search of a more introspective self-knowing world you will see that you will lose the “good-only” mentality and realize REAL BEAUTY “O que era a noite sem o dia?

No one is ever far. No one is ever near. You can look all you want. You will be disappointed at times, but that’s how it is. Since we are able to learn something from everything that happens, the more we live, the better are our choices in life. It doesn’t matter where you are. You can live in the city and imagine a more natural starlighted sky. People on the other side of the world will be dreaming about the complex metropoly streets and the dazzling adventure of driving in a busy highway. It’s rare for someone to be completly satisfied, and that’s good! If you keep wishing and dreaming, you’ll find beauty in a lot more places, because there is more stuff that will attract your curiosity and thus you will meet new experiences and paths. It’s easy to find beauty in what is already beautiful. Who can’t find beauty in warm sunshine, and freshly baked cookies? But life if more than just the “good” side. Life has ups and downs and lots of twists and turns. And our challenge through all of it is, “Can we be happy?” “Can we find the beauty in it?” even when life doesn’t go our way. For this we need a tool to transform our thinking about any negative situation into something genuinely positive.
