I am delighted to have undertaken Stages 0-3 of Fold House, a Paragraph 79 (now 80) house in the greenbelt. The independent Design Review Panel, DesigNE, concluded their report: “the scheme, should it proceed, would be an exemplar to the northeast. Indeed, this project makes the case for Paragraph 79 exemptions.”

Heritage / Residential - The Coach House This project brought a new lease of life to a neglected Grade II listed Coach House. I handled the complexities of taking this project on from another architecture firm, and completed Stages 2 and 3, working closely with the Local Authority to create a scheme that was viable for the client, whilst respecting the historic fabric of the building. Howarth Litchfield nominated this project for the Lord Mayor’s Design Award.

This project is a rehabilitation centre for people addicted to augmented reality. It exists within a near future where technological advancements have allowed people to live within individualised versions of reality. This is brought about by the transhuman implementation of augmented reality to a quality so high, many people are unaware of what is real and what is augmented. My project is to facilitate one’s reconnection with the nature of reality.
Published Work - Essay and Research An essay of mine is published in ‘Concrete Utopias, An Education of Desire’ by A. Butt. This work was based on my Part II Studies and focused on the concept of preservation in relation to architecture. With a team I studied Gagliato, a marginalised town in southern Italy. Architectural interventions which I suggested are in the process of being implemented by local residents and businesses. My research forms Chapter 2 of ‘Enabling the City: Interdisciplinary and Transdisciplinary Encounters in Research and Practice’ by J. Fokdal.
Library & Bowling Alley - Kunming, China My undergraduate project allowed me to refine my model making skills, pictured adjacent.
Research Facility - Undertaken at FaulknerBrowns Architects I designed the planned expansion for a research facility. We took the project through the RIBA Stages 1-3. Final render pictured adjacent.
