SEVERE WEATHER, SCHOOL CLOSURE
JIHIHJJHHHHK Thank you for your support during the last few days
regarding the opening of the school during the recent wintry weather. During such conditions, as Headteacher, I feel that it is important that we open the school if possible. I also understand that if parents feel that it is unsafe to travel, then they certainly should not. To improve the way we inform parents of closure, we will now place a notice on the school ‘Blog’ as well as informing all the relevant authorities who pass the information on to the local radio stations.
OFSTED INSPECTION
The report on our recent school inspection should be available to all parents within approximately 3 weeks. As a school we are unable to elaborate on how the inspection went until the quality assurance processes of the inspection have taken place. However, we’d like to say a huge ‘well done’ to the children whom no more could have been asked of. They really were fantastic and a credit to themselves, their school and their very supportive parents

MATHS INFORMATION EVENING
Thank you to those parents who attended last night – we hope that you found it valuable. If there are any parents who were unable to make it, but would like the information used, please contact the office for a copy. We are planning to run similar sessions on different subject areas in the future.
The Parents’ Forum looked at a number of issues this morning including the procedures for the start of the day and registration. Just to clarify the situation (it’s not a big issue at our school currently), our Attendance Policy states the following: When does my child need to be in School? Your child should be at school in good time for registration. The morning register will be called promptly at 8.55am (school starts at 8.50am) and the afternoon register at 12.50pm (afternoon session starts at 12.45pm). What happens if my child is late? Registration finishes at 9.00am in the morning and 12.55pm in the afternoon. If your child arrives between 9.00am and 9.20am he/ she will be marked late. If your child arrives after 9.20am or 1.15pm he/she will be marked absent. If your child arrives between 12.55pm and 1.15pm he/she will be marked late. If your child arrives after 1.15pm he/she will be marked absent. The recent attendance figures for the school are
