SWIMMING
and their families. We hope that you have had a refreshing, relaxing and enjoyable break and are looking forward to the year ahead. Please note that the first ‘Sharing Assembly’ will be this week, Friday 8th January, at 9.00am. We hope to see you there.
Next Friday (15th January) children in Years 2 & 3 will be swimming at Framlingham College. They will need trunks/swimming shorts (not Bermuda style knee-length shorts) or swimming costume, swimming hat and a towel.
AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS
If your child needs to wear goggles due to a medical condition, please send in a letter granting permission to enable your child to wear them.
Here is an outline of when our various clubs will be recommencing this term to avoid confusion: Football: Starts Tuesday 12th January.
START OF SCHOOL DAY
Netball: Starts Tuesday 12th January.
Thank you once again for your efforts in getting your children to school on time during these very dangerous conditions. For the many new parents we have, during the morning there is someone on duty in the playgrounds from 8.35am onwards. School starts with registration at 8.50 with the first lesson of the day starting at 9.00am. Your efforts in enabling us to make a prompt start are greatly appreciated.
Gymnastics: Starts Tuesday 19th and Thursday 21st January.
AN AUTHOR IN SCHOOL
FILMClub: Starts Friday 15th January. The first three films will be: 15/1/10 DIGBY – THE BIGGETS DOG IN THE WORLD (U) 22/1/10 BEAN – THE ULTIMATE DISASTER MOVIE (PG) 29/1/10 MR BEAN’S HOLIDAY (PG)
All of these films will finish at 5.00pm.
As part of our focus on writing, on Tuesday 12th January, Laura Watson will be spending the day in school working with the children. She is a scriptwriter who is also a very experienced creative workshop practitioner. She works with children of all ages and is dynamic, warm, full of great ideas and comes highly recommended.
