WELCOME BACK The final half term of the school year is now upon us. We JIHIHJJHHHHK``````````````````````` hope that you had an enjoyable break (at least the sun shone for a few days) and that children and families alike are ready for an exciting and actionpacked 6 ½ weeks.
TERM DATES Autumn Term 2010 Monday 6th September – Friday 17th December (half term Monday 25th – Friday 29th October) Spring Term 2011 Wednesday 5th January – Friday 8th April (half term Monday 21st – Friday 25th February) Summer Term 2011 Wednesday 27th April – Friday 22nd July (half term Monday 30th May – Friday 3rd June) There are 5 Professional Development Days for staff only: Wednesday 1st September, Thursday 2nd September, Friday 3rd September, Tuesday 4th January and Tuesday 26th April.
These dates are the same for all the schools in the Debenham High School Pyramid.
THE WORLD CUP
You may be aware that there are a few football games happening over the next month. On the reverse of this newsletter are a few ‘special’ lunches being planned during this period. Also, England are playing Slovenia on 23rd June (3pm kickoff). We will be showing this match at school (for all children interested) finishing at 5pm. Please let Mr Pearce know if your child would like to stay.
PARENTS’ FORUM
th The next parents’ forum will be held on Wednesday 16 June at 9am. Everyone is more than welcome to attend, and it would be great to see you there. Items for discussion include end of term arrangements, sports day, FILMclub tuck shop and an update on our new entrance area.
WATER FOR AFRICA Many thanks for your recent support of the Year 6 children’s attempts to raise money for water filters following their trip to African Adventure. The ‘come as you please’ day saw donations totalling £64. 60. The children form Earl Soham, Bedfield and Helmingham are planning a further fundraising event to take place at Bedfield next week.

TRAVELLING BOOK FAIR
The ‘Travelling Book Fair’ will be visiting our school at the end of June. The book fair will be open after school on Monday 28th, Tuesday 29th and Wednesday 30th June until 4.15pm. We hope that you are able to support us with this.
