MAY 2010 NEWSLETTER

KEEPING HYDRATED JIHIHJJHHHHK

It’s a good idea for all children to have a clearly labelled bottle of water available for them to use throughout the school day to keep hydrated. It especially helps us if the children refill these bottles in the hall to cut down on our consumption of plastic cups.

AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS

We hope that your children are enjoying the range of clubs available this term. It seems that ‘Wake & Shake’ on a Wednesday morning is a particular hit. Starting next Thursday, there will also be another ‘new’ after school club for children in Years 2 & 3. The club will use electronic dance mats and is available for a maximum of 16 children. More details to follow.

PTFA AUCTION OF PROMISES

As you are hopefully aware, the PTFA had planned to hold an ‘Auction of Promises’ along with a barbecue and camping on Saturday 15th May. We have received some really fantastic donations and offers, but realistically there aren’t enough items to draw the required amount of people to the auction to enable these items to reach their potential value. Due to the short time scale involved and the need for us to purchase refreshments, etc, we have decided to postpone the event until later in the term by which time we hope to have more items available for auction. We are extremely grateful for those of you who have offered us items or ‘promises’ for our auction and we hope that these will still be valid for our proposed re staging date in October along with a Harvest Supper. The School Fete will take place on Saturday 10th July from 12pm – 3pm. During the fete, we will be auctioning some of the items which are ideal for families to use over the summer. Many thanks for your continued support.

The next four films will be:

14/5/10 NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM (PG) 5.00pm finish 21/5/10 NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM 2 (PG) 5.00pm finish 28/5/10 WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE (PG) 5.00pm finish 11/6/10 ICE AGE 3: DAWN OF THE DINOSAURS (U) 5.00pm finish
