DECEMBER 2013 - NEWSLETTER CHRISTMAS FAYRE

Thank you JIHIHJJHHHH to everyone for your support at last week’s Christmas Fayre. The PTFA did yet another sterling job in putting on a fabulous event. It was also lovely to hear the choir at the beginning who really set the scene for getting everyone into the Christmas spirit. Initial reports show a profit in excess of £450.

CAROL SERVICE The Carol Service is now only two weeks away. We have already started practising the songs and today children have volunteered as readers. It is vital that we know which children will/will not be attending the service itself – could you please let us know if your child will not be attending. During the day (Monday 16th December) we will be rehearsing in the church – for this we already have your permission for this from the ‘local trips’ consent form, please let us know if this situation has changed. After the Carol Service the traditional refreshments, provided by the PTFA, will be available back in the school hall.

CHRISTMAS LUNCH

AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS This week’s gymnastics (Tuesday) and Year 2 & 3 football (Wednesday) have been cancelled. Tomorrow’s football and netball will be the last sessions of the term.

ROCK ‘N’ ROLL PANTOMIME On Thursday of this week Year 2 – 6 will be attending the Rock ‘n’ Roll pantomime at the Wolsey Theatre. The children will be having an early lunch as we’ll be leaving at 12.30pm. The show is not due to finish until 4pm, meaning that we should return to school by 4.45pm (this time differs from previous correspondence). Children can bring along a small snack if needed.
