OCTOBER (2) 2012 - NEWSLETTER WAITING FOR CHRISTMAS RECORDING SESSION Sunday 21st October is the recording session for the CD being produced as part of the ‘Waiting for Christmas’ project. The session takes place at Debenham High School, from 1.45pm until 6pm. Other schools taking part from the Framlingham and Debenham areas will also be present.

This is for all children in Years 3 – 6. Mr Mansell and Mr Pearce will be present –please speak to either for further details. The event, organised by Tearfund, is aiming to raise over £50,000 to help support children and families in over 80 countries across the world. The project will conclude with a live evening performance at The Spa Pavilion, Felixstowe, between 2nd and 8th December – further details on this to follow…

HOODIES The order for ‘Hoodies’ has been placed, with an incredible total of 60 being ordered! They should be with us by the middle of next week.

THIS WEEK’S FILMCLUB Due to the school’s participation in the Suffolk Sports Awards presentation (starting at 5.30pm) FILMCLUB will be starting at 3pm this week. This means that ‘Muppets Wizard of Oz’ will finish at 4.30pm, enabling Mr Pearce to go home and get scrubbed up before the beginning of proceedings!

PTFA AUTUMN DINNER/DANCE Saturday 20th October 7.30pm - Midnight Have you bought your tickets? £10 each.

Please be aware that the car park is likely to be extremely congested due to our trip to the cinema. There will be two coaches arriving for our 8.45am departure, meaning that access and space will be limited. We ask that children are on the school site for 8.30am to enable us to leave on time.

DIARY DATES

NEW MENU The new school menu has not met with universal approval at a number of schools– there seem to be a number of dishes which are unpopular or simply do not complement each other. Therefore, having contacted ‘EATS’, the school has decided to make a few changes. A copy of the slightly amended menu, which commences after half term, is on the reverse of this newsletter.

ITFC TICKETS If you wish to purchase tickets for the fixture against Burnley on Saturday 10th November, please could you make payment by Thursday 25th October.
