APRIL 2012 - NEWSLETTER NEWS IN BRIEF

PTFA NEWS

Welcome back to everyone for what is traditionally the busiest (and longest) term of the year. There’s plenty going on with our day-to-day activities plus two fantastic ‘once in a lifetime’ occasions, with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and London 2012 Olympics, for everyone to look forward to. Regarding the Olympics, a reminder that all entries for the ‘design a logo’ competition need to be returned by Friday 20 th April.

The summer term sees a number of events being organised by the PTFA. Please support them to enable their continued support of all of the children. Following the success of last year’s ‘Summer Fun Evening’ we will be holding a similar event on Saturday 19th May. Further details to follow, but it is planned that there will be camping available, bingo, quiz, barbecue and films. Please book the date in your diary! The PTFA will also be organising a Jubilee Tea Party on Thursday 31st May (the penultimate day of the first half of summer term) for the children. On Saturday 7th July, it will be the traditional PTFA Fete. Again, please put this date in your diary. The next PTFA meeting will be at 7pm on Thursday 19th April – all welcome.
