Z I N E DOCUMENTATION BY JAMES PENTLAND
Z I N E DOCUMENTATION THE DOCUMENTATION ABOVE THAT WAS TAKEN FROM MY SKETCHBOOK SHOWS A PROCESS AND EXPLORES WHAT THE FIRST BRIEF SHOULD INVOLVE. BRAINSTORMING AND QUICK SKETCHES WERE USED TO CONNOTATE THE IDEAS THAT WERE THOUGHT ABOUT AND WAS FUTHERED BY A VISIT TO THE HAYWARD GALLERY IN SOUTHBANK. THIS FURTHERED ME TO LOOK INTO IDEAS & CONCEPTS BUT TO FURTHER THE THEMES AND CHALLENGE NORMAL CONVENTIONS SHOWN IN ‘ZINES’. UNDERSTANDING THIS ALLOWED ME TO UNDERSTAND WHAT THE ZINE IS FOR AND WHAT ITS PURPOSE IS AND WHAT THE FINAL PRODUCT SHOULD LOOK LIKE.
