(1) Turkey: note that some nationalities are required to get a visa for

Turkey. The visa can be obtained online at https://turkey-evisa.travisaonline.com/turkey (2) Russia: A group visa will be supplied only for those guests participating in PONANT organized tours or private arrangements and will cover you for their duration only. If you want to explore the town independently, you will need to obtain an individual visa prior to departure and at your own additional expense. (3) Egypt: visa delivered and charged onboard (25€ subject to change), valid for 30 days. (4) Jordan: A visa is mandatory (current cost subject to change: 40 JOD).

The visa is handled by PONANT for guests participating on PONANT pre and post-cruise programs. In order to secure your visa, please send a copy of your passport to PONANT 30 days prior to your cruise departure. The validity of those visas are restricted to the duration of PONANT pre and post cruise programs. Groups of tourists visiting

Jordan for a minimum stay of 2 consecutive nights and arriving through Amman Airport, whose programme has been organised by a Jordanian agency, benefit of a complimentary visa on condition that they are met by the local Jordanian agency at the airport. Please note that rules and regulations regarding visa subject to change by the government without any prior notice. Guests not participating on

PONANT pre or post cruise programs will have to pay for the visa at the arrival or departure airport. Double entry visas can be obtained prior to the cruise and have a validity of 3 months.

Visas: Before departure, please check carefully that your visas are valid for the right date and time spent in the countries in order to avoid unpleasant situations.

Warning about the use of drones: The use of drones aboard PONANT ships, whether they are sailing at sea, at a port of call or anchored, is strictly forbidden. The use of drones on land in the Arctic and Antarctic regions is also strictly forbidden by international polar regulations. In other regions, it may be possible to use drones on land if permission has been obtained from the relevant authorities of each country and each region travelled through, as well as a pilot’s licence that should be obtained from your home country. Passengers are responsible for obtaining these permits; they should be able to present them at all times. Passengers who do not obtain these authorizations expose themselves to the risk of legal proceeding.

Medication: If you have a medical treatment, do not forget your prescription.

(3) Australia: Australian customs regulations are very strict, especially for the import of food items such as fresh food (even sealed), fruits, eggs, meat, plants, vegetables, seeds, grains. Fur and feathers are also forbidden. A copy of your visa or ESTA must be sent to PONANT at the very latest 45 days prior to your cruise date.

In case the ESTA is sufficient to enter the USA, we also ask you to keep a copy of your ESTA with your passport throughout the duration of your trip. (6) USA: Should your flight transit via the USA, a visa or ESTA may be required. Please contact USA consulate website for details. (7) Fiji: You will receive together with your cruise documents an "Arrival in

Fiji" letter, which you will need to present upon arrival in Nadi airport

Rental” appears. Book your boots up to 7 days prior to departure, on our dedicated website https://boutique.ponant.com/, boots section. You will find them on board after embarkation. For more information, please contact us. - Ports of call, visited sites, outings and landings will depend on weather conditions, position of ice, winds and the state of the sea. These can force a change of plans at any time. The Captain and the Expedition Leader may at any time cancel or stop any activity, or even modify the itinerary. The final itinerary will be confirmed by the Captain, who will take into account the touristic quality of the sites and above all, the safety of the passengers. His decision will be based on advice from experts and authorities. - Travelling to polar/isolated regions is an exhilarating experience in remote areas: please remember that you are far from modern hospitals with full medical facilities, thus evacuation is extremely expensive. Without adequate medical coverage, all expenses will have to be immediately paid with your personal funds. We urge you to subscribe to full coverage insurance, choose your insurance company very carefully, be extremely vigilant and ensure your insurance is fully comprehensive, especially if you are insured by your credit card. A medical questionnaire will be sent to you at the time of booking, which will have to be completed by your doctor and sent back 90 to 45 days prior to the cruise departure.
