Sales Management Comments On behalf of Transcon and this year’s consignors, I welcome you to the 4th Annual Working Girls Charolais Female Sale. Four years already!! Holy smokes, how did that happen so fast? This is a sale I’m very proud of. The consignors have continually put in top notch females and we have received such great support at the sale. During our travels this summer I was amazed at how many times a female was pointed out that was bought at the previous Working Girls Sales. Very well named sale, because those cows were “Working!!!” Since starting this sale four year ago it has been thriving and standing on its own feet with a sale average around that $6000 mark. Sitting in the auction barns this fall you can still see that the HEAVY tan calves are still bringing a premium price. More than ever there is a swing to take advantage of the Charolais performance. The females in this sale are the “Working Girls” that are going to go out, lay down and give you that performance bull or heifer come calving time.
