CD Raffle Giveaway
Music Marketing – CD Raffle
Just wanted to throw you another music marketing tool to add to your arsenal. This is something that you can, and SHOULD do, at just about every single show you ever play. Why? Because you’ll get more contact information and fans, and that’s worth a lot more than the CD itself. The idea is very simple, and something you should put to use right away, if you’ve never done it before. In the middle of your set, or at the end-just before the encore, hold up your cd, and announce that you are going to be giving it away in a raffle at the end of the show… Have someone walk around and collect business cards, or little sheets of paper on them with their name, email, phone number and zip code. Once you’ve collected everyone’s name and email address then you can draw a winner. Make it feel like it’s IMPORTANT, this is YOUR MUSIC. Again, anyone can do this with a CD, so there’s no reason not to do this… But if possible, try to put together the nicest package you can afford for the winner. Merch and a nicely packaged collection of your experience. Don’t, for example… Just be sarcastic ala “ya, well, uh, here you go buddy, take a listen… if you like..” It’s all about the emotion that you can create in the environment, so make it positive, and make it memorable…
Make it so NEXT time, they’ll come again, and look forward to another chance to win.

Tip: Find the MOST attractive friend you have, then have them walk around with a clip board collecting information. Clevage = Higher Conversions
Ask for: Name Email Phone Zip Cute question (that would make someone chuckle) like team edward or team jacob… etc.
You may not get them to answer all of the questions, but at least make sure you get their name, email, and zip code.
Just a quick little tactic for you today. Be Brilliant, Jamie P.S. …And for god’s sake, if you haven’t signed up yet, it’s FREE and you become a PART OF THE CLUB, so go and DO IT ALREADY!
