EXPLORE
BEFORE
An explorium or children’s discovery centre is rooted in the concept that free play is a valuable contributor to solving some of the child’s most critical challenges in their physical, mental and social development. These spaces can help improve early learning skills, imagination, independence, and health outcomes for children, while also providing avenue to build strong interpersonal relationships. Innovative, high quality play spaces can increase the quality of child care and early childhood education, closing the achievement gap and increasing children’s readiness to learn in school.
E XPLODED
To design an exclusive space for children of all age groups that encourages learning through play fostering their Overall physical, mental, behavioural and social development. In addition to the primary concern of overall child development, students are encouraged to scale the spaces for Children where adults don't quite belong, don't quite fit in. Imagine that children are the natural inhabitants while the adults are the outsiders. Most exhibits and activities in the museum need to be designed exclusively for them.
