started this piece with a plan in mind. I thought I knew what it was going to be about. But along the way I discovered how much I dislike working with tiny pieces. Rather than force my initial vision, I invited my Magical Child to guide my artistic process. I fantasized about what was possible. I played. I explored new techniques. The piece morphed into something completely different. The doorway

became the central symbol. While a doorway has a particular meaning for me, there is room for you, the viewer, to resonate with that symbol in your own way. When I can achieve that level of duality, of offering suggestions that are open for interpretation, I know I have done my best work. It must be meaningful for me. Equally important to me is that you, the viewer, find your own meaning in the work.
