As the sun set

on November 16th, 2013, it felt as though I'd been catapulted into a stratosphere where space, time, and any sense of "real" were nonexistent. And when it comes to this organization, which embodies so much of whom he was, I found myself wondering that very night, What would Barry do? The answer was clear: He would want everyone to know that he taught us all well, that he leaves behind a rock-solid entity, characterized by love, compassion, and acceptance...and that it's here to stay. He would genuinely want you to know that it is a collaboration with so many, including our partners at camp, our board of directors, our unparalleled staff, our generous volunteers and donors, the camper groups, the extraordinary campers and their families, our friends and our family. He would want you all to know that TTFF is in it for the LONG RUN--that we built it to last. This quote jumped off the page at me recently: "How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard. -Winnie the Pooh I believe from the bottom of my heart that those are the words he must have been thinking. He loved it all and would want all of you to know that yes, we are here to stay. –Elaine Taylor
