A not for profit foundation established in Amsterdam, December 2009,

The SPINNA foundation aims to, Ignite Inspiration, in all members, Empower woman entrepreneurs globally. Further fashion through innovative and sustainable solutions drawn from traditions and generations of textile expertise.

SPINNA was born out of a passionate dialogue over a cup of coffee at a brasserie in Paris in November 2009 about sustainable fashion and the contribution of woman in the global business. Through committed local hubs, enthusiastic individuals, corporations, donors and supporting organizations such as the United Nations agency, International Trade Centre and The US State Department this concept was transformed into reality.

At SPINNA we stand for exclusivity and quality. And aim to achieve long term sustainability for woman globally.

MISSION To foster the economic empowerment of women in textiles and fashion through linking buyers and sellers and by building productive capacities

VISION To create opportunities by linking unique skills with contemporary market demands and to bring more women owned businesses into the mainstream of the fashion value chain.

SPINNA BRAND

Our umbrella brand showcases the products and collections of our members at customized showrooms, fashion events, stores in fashion capitals and in the future on or online shop.

SPINNA BOOK

Our homegrown publication features women-owned business members, their skill-sets, products and their stories. It is an evolving concept, with new stories being added for every edition. The SPINNA Book intends to be the comprehensive guide to women vendors in different regions, with a preview of their traditional techniques along with the contemporary offer for the international fashion business.

BUYER MENTOR GROUP

Our first step towards developing credible and long term relations between buyers and suppliers. This is where both sides get to know each other without the stress of having to buy or sell immediately. Buyers and suppliers have the opportunity to mentor one another through the process. BMGs are extremely interesting learning opportunities where each individual and participating organization is able to gain a better understanding of their common challenges, discuss solutions and engage in a sustainable and mutually beneficial relationship.
