Please can you make a panorama of My Glass Studio and what is the key to the rapid progress of your company over the last 15 years in design, in variety, in creativity and unique designs?

My Glass Studio always had two main leading values: innovation and leadership. Innovation is very important for us and that is how our customers know us. We want to create and design new ideas and concepts. We focus on research & development and technology. Innovation is about imagining things that others find impossible to picture.

Leadership for us is hard work, determination and “ethos”. In Greek, ethos means a good character and intentions, a balance

“We want to create and design new ideas and concepts

between passion and caution. We always want to improve by learning, unlearning and relearning.

These are our leading values and we have kept them for 15 years to reach where we are now.

How was the journey of transforming the company into a boutique factory?

My Glass Studio was founded in 1992. Since then we have been a boutique factory, from producing two bowls a day to doing projects such as the The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas. However, we have kept the concept of being boutique. Boutique for us means flexibility and adaptability. Our customers can rely on us when they want a new item or a logo. Our production expertise allows us to create unique pieces and bespoke products in a very short time. Adaptability is also key; we are able to adapt to different environments. During Covid we adapted.

How did you arrive to make such exclusive dinnerware for the luxury hospitality industry?

The hospitality sector has always been an interesting environment for us. We love the world of hotels and the people who lead it. Travelling is also part of our company’s DNA. So, adapting to each hotel or restaurant interior was and will be our main priority. Exclusive dinnerware is the outcome of this passion.

Your customized dinnerware and handmade glass dinnerware are a valuable tool for the best restaurants in the world. Are they customed at the restaurants’ concepts, menu concepts or owning companies’ desire?

We design together with the hotel or restaurant team. Imagine three libraries, one with 1800 shapes, one with 250 colors and one with 150 patterns. We can create more than 30 million customized items! The combination of these 3 gives us the way to adapt to each concept individually and exclusively.

Your five guiding principles are wonderful. Do you have the six kept in store within the company?

Respect the competition. We believe that this is very important for the ethics of a company.

When you have manufactured for the five continents for the innumerable hotel chains and private companies, what’s next for you when you have reached the top?

There are always more places to discover and clients to serve. So, we don’t think you can ever reach the top!

Is part of your plans to open a representative office in Albania to cover the Balkans?

Not at the moment but we would happily visit and meet you! Jenny, who is with our sales team for more than 10 years, is from Albania and handles the projects in the country as well. So, for sure we hope to visit after the lockdown periods.
