The 7th Completion Ceremony souvenir program cover of Jasaan National High School showcases the silhouette of celebrating and running children that symbolizes the joy of our learners’ completion and their zealous desire to chase for their dreams. The flying diplomas depicts our hopes that the education they got with JNHS will carry them closer to their life’s goals and become successful individuals in the future.
M
y warmest greetings to the school officials, administrators, faculty members and advisers, teachers, parents, and guardians of the graduates and completers of School Year 2021-2022! On behalf of the Department of Education (DepEd), I am proud to celebrate the successes, milestones, and achievements of this batch’s graduates and promoted students in this year’s End-of-School-Year rites with the theme “K to 12 Graduates: Pursuing Dreams and Fostering Resilience in the Face of Adversity.” In the past six years, we committed to our mandate to enhance the quality of education, broaden its access, and ensure its relevance in the rapidly changing world. DepEd endeavored to address each challenge by instituting programs and reforms in the Department. We have fully implemented the K to 12 curriculum and the aggressive reforms of Sulong EduKalidad to produce globally competitive learners and teachers. We also expanded our mission for accessible education by strengthening the Alternative Learning System (ALS) and the Last Mile Schools programs to reach more Filipinos. Likewise, we also established the National Academy of Sports (NAS) and Education Futures Unit to create more opportunities for our learners and anticipate the future of the education system in the country. Committed to sustaining this momentum, the Department developed and implemented the Basic Education-Learning Continuity Program (BE-LCP), where we offered various learning modalities and produced award-winning initiatives such as the DepEd TV and DepEd Commons at the height of the pandemic. Eventually, the Department held its ground against an unprecedented challenge in basic education as we progressively expand the reintroduction of face-to-face classes in the country. Indeed, education is truly a shared responsibility. This is why we express our utmost appreciation to our dear parents and teachers for being our partners in nurturing the youth throughout the years. To the Class of 2022, resilience is in your blood. You have survived one of the toughest times in human history, yet still embraced education as your primary tool to success. I believe that with your passion and purpose, you can reach your dreams and change the world. May you keep on harnessing and imparting wisdom as together, we will build a nation of competent global citizens and future leaders.

Greetings from DepEd NorMin!
T
he past two school years have not been easy, and to come out resilient and survive the crisis make this occasion extra special. Therefore, this commencement ceremony after the rain depicts strongly our young learners’ dedication, hard work, accomplishments, and triumphs. This occasion is a meaningful moment for both parents and teachers to rejoice and celebrate their children’s and student’s educational milestones, not to discount the teachers’ and parents’ nobility in this period of the Covid-19 pandemic. As we passionately collaborate as a country, this year’s graduation rites are memorable more than ever since we now seeing the brighter light to the end of this pandemic. Thus, today’s learners, completers, and graduates are the ones who experience the hard-fought battle to help contain the virus and provide support to those who emotionally struggled during the height of the OCVID-19 surge. The Department of Education (DepEd) highly celebrates these acts of our learners because we have developed within them a mind that is capable of thinking and deciding what is right not just for oneself but also for the greater good and a heart that is sensible enough to willfully care for and support the needy. These learned life skills are the greatest treasures in this most trying time, which highlight the K to 12 curriculum sets of skulls and competencies. Indeed, DepEd has produced holistic learners. This year’s graduation theme – K to 12 Graduates: Pursuing Dreams and Fostering Resilience in the Face of Adversity – underscores that resiliency already manifests in our daily lives as we continue to endeavor with life’s adversities even beyond the COVID-19 pandemic. Beginning today, you, our learners, graduates, and completers are in the inception of taking your quest to the next level beyond the comfort of your schools or grades. Apparently, this occasion signals the start of the tougher and more tedious life. Never fear, for you are geared up to ensure your successes. Your DepEd family is confident that you can hurdle every border beyond. Face every hindrance that comes your way as you continue the path to your dreams. DepEd is one with you in this journey. Our thanks to the families of all our learners in DepEd Region X. Thank you for entrusting their education to us. Also, our utmost thanks to our numerous stakeholders who have never hesitated to help in ensuring our children’s quality basic education. Indeed, our learners’ success is all our victory. Congratulations and Godspeed!

O
n this special occasion, I express my heartfelt felicitations to the DepEd officials, local executives, teachers, parents, personnel, and all stakeholders who are instrumental in educating and molding our graduates and completers of School Year 2021-2022. They were the ones who steered the educational vessel as it sailed through the turbulent waves of the pandemic. We know for a fact that the global pandemic has greatly affected our learners and no situation has ever been more challenging than ensuring learning continuity amidst an unprecedented health emergency and crisis. This phenomenon has made definite and clear that we are living in a world that is constantly characterized by volatility and complexity. Volatility is defined as the liability to change rapidly and unpredictably, especially for the worse. In our Department, the new normal contributed to the volatility of the situation. We needed to do a paradigm shift, immediately. We needed to change, in reptilian speed, our navigational strategies. The Be More Initiative (Bringing Excellence by Maximizing and Optimizing Resources in Education) helped us refocus all our human and financial resources to what is urgent, relevant, and necessary. It helped us cope with the sudden shift of processes and systems. It is a living testament that for us to rise above volatile change we need creativity and innovativeness- for we need new solutions to new problems and new mindsets to new situations. How did we deal with complexity? The best antidote to complexity is collaboration. Adaptive strategies to deal with complexity in the delivery of education in the midst of the pandemic were collaboratively developed. Through collaboration with the Provincial Government of Misamis Oriental, the Local Government Units, Government agencies, NGOs, parents, internal and external stakeholders we were able to develop a shared problem perception, creating a common understanding of complexities. To deal with complexity we promoted critical thinking in the organization. This is important to help improve decision-making, refine research skills, stimulate curiosity, and enhance problemsolving ability. For instance, over the last two years, our teachers conducted educational researches as part of optimizing the talents of our teachers as our most important resource. They explored all key result areas and tackled all possible problems that affect the new modalities of teaching and learning in all to help learners and parents handle the rigors of instructional delivery during the pandemic. Volatility and Complexity taught us a lesson that Collaboration, Creativity and Critical Thinking help us rise above even the worst situation. To the graduates and completers, the best skill you acquired from this situation is RESILIENCE. And because you emerged victorious and STRONGER, you will be able to hurdle every problem that will come your way as you continue to tread on the unfamiliar path to pursue your dream of getting the best version of yourself. Again, CONGRATULATIONS!

I
t is with jubilation and pleasure that I personally convey my profound felicitations to all the academic awardees, completers and graduates of School Year 2021-2022. Equal amounts of felicitations also go to the proud mentors, school heads, and non-teaching personnel who inaudibly labored much in order to mold the minds of these learners entrusted to them. Worthy of hearty congratulations also are the proud parents and guardians and those loved ones of our graduates and completers. This batch of graduates and completers for School Year 2021-2022 emerged victorious that despite COVID-19 pandemic they had successfully hurdled the rigors on the complexities of acquiring learning for it is unavoidable to embrace the current landscape on the delivery of education. School Year 2021-2022 had been another school year of dedication and passion for all school heads, teachers, learners, non-teaching personnel, parents and guardians in coping with the learning delivery modality to effectively deliver the learning competencies and other essential mandates. Consequently, the support and motivation of parents towards the rocky roads to victory challenged with the global health crisis have grandiosely pitched in to this moment of your memorable day, your graduation or completion. Reminiscing on the moment when you first set your foot at the very doorstep of the school, you had in mind that someday, you will finish the race. Now is the time. Moving up and graduation ceremonies signal the success of yourselves and the people behind you. It is another mark in the history of your lives where everybody looks up as these added another feather of your respective caps. My dear completers and graduates, I am one with you and your respective families in this grand celebration of your lives. With it, make your respective schools proud of you. To the proud parents, accept my heartfelt gratitude for you have manifested your enthusiasm and charisma for having been active partners of the Schools Division of Misamis Oriental in the implementation of distance learning. Your support for this School Year 2021-2022 is a sparkling reflection of the unconditional love you bestowed to the learners through the years. Undoubtedly, you have been the great contributors in the success that these students/learners have achieved now. My special commendations to all the school administrators, teaching and non-teaching personnel and others for providing the unparalleled services and the proactive love and care for the learners that were best echoed in this year’s theme “K to 12 Graduates: Pursuing Dreams and Fostering Resilience in the Face of Adversity”. Truly, you have given and delivered quality education to all the completers and graduates. To all the completers and graduates, carry on the good ideals and teachings from your teachers that were imparted to you as these are the best guiding lights as you face another endeavors in your lives. Congratulations.

My warm greetings to everybody!
A
llow me to begin by recognizing all our school heads, teaching and non- teaching staff, parents, families of our graduates and completers, our internal and external stakeholders for being the foundation and support system of the Department of Education Jasaan South District, Misamis Oriental. The past years and months have been tough and full of challenges to everybody. We can still fully remember the day when we shifted to blended learning. At first, there were several questions “how will it work?” “will the students be able to focus?” “will the teachers make it?” “how will the students learn?”. Due to the modular and online classes, we made our living room as our classroom wearing the pajamas as our uniform, eating our meals while attending classes and many more. Amidst all, we ended victorious but if there is one thing good brought by the pandemic to our learners, it is the attitude of being resilient which allow students to not be afraid of challenges that may come into and to effectively deal with difficult circumstances. Being resilient cannot be done by the learners alone, they need social networks, they need others to shape their beliefs and identity for this is also the very essence of education. Whatever life may bring, education must continue as Albert Einstein once said and I quote “Learn from yesterday, live for today and hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning.” What and how we view ourselves are structured with what we learn in school. After all, the world is still a safe place to live. Navigate this competitive world with determination and perseverance and by doing so, you will be able to tackle problems and cope with the emotional challenges in school and in life, true to this year’s graduation theme – K to 12 Graduates: Pursuing Dreams and Fostering Resilience in the Face of Adversity. Continue with what you have started and make it sure that whatever adversities in life, still you can make it to the finish line. Finally, congratulations to all of you, you have worked hard, you deserve to be proud of this achievement and to take this opportunity to celebrate together with your family. GOD BLESS AND GOOD HEALTH TO EVERYBODY

Your perseverance and hard work in all school work has now paid off and know that I, together with all your teachers, am very proud of your accomplishment. With this year’s theme, “K to 12 Graduates: Pursuing Dreams and Fostering Resilience in the Face of Adversity”, we hope that Jasaan National High School has imparted to you lifelong skills of resilience and encourage that will enable you to surpass whatever challenge that will come your way in the years ahead. Just look at the horizon! take a deep breath and give thanks for everything, let us aim high to reach the moon, but if and ever the time will not grant it, there are still stars who will catch us, for us to reach whatever the desire of our heart. Keep slaying…. Pursue greatness anyway.
