Current Issues in Health 1/4 credit; required for 9 This course will address topics related to personal health. Students will formulate appropriate response behaviors to nutrition, eating disorders, mental health, addictions, communication, relationships, personal safety, and sexuality. Understanding and applying healthy choices and a positive self-concept will be addressed.

First Aid 1/4 credit; elective for 11, 12 The intent of this course is to help students feel more confident of their ability to act appropriately in the event of an emergency before medical help arrives. Students who successfully complete this course will receive American Red Cross certification in Standard First Aid and CPR/AED-Adult and Child plus infant CPR.
