Transforming this idea into a stenciled quilt was made possible with the skills of Bonnie Miller. She created the stencils for the children to use. The students were taught the stenciling technique and quickly learned the”careful” process. Each child brought their flower to life using at least 5 different stencils. The children were excited to see their flowers be assembled into a quilt and enjoyed watching the process of hand quilting, by their grandmothers and friends. Thank you to the many hands that have helped the students create their quilt for this year’s auction and a special thank you to Dock grandparent, Jody Clemens, for the vision to make this quilt a reality!
