I am the storyteller. I'm here today to tell you a tale about a girl named Jay. This is the story of the tiniest Queen the smallest monarch you've ever seen. (all rise for the Queen of Jayland!) She built this empire from rubbish, treasure she'd found Then the tiny Queen's kingdom emerged from this mound. She knew she wanted to be a world leader when she fell inside books as a young avid reader. And this is her tiny kingdom, her miniature castle but being a Queen at her size doesn't come without hassle. The tiny Queen was anxious, filled with fear. She was born in another world but escaped to be here. She found herself fighting beasts much bigger than herself and instead of a Queen, she was mistaken for an elf. People don't take you seriously when you're the size of a pea When the great beasts roared, the tiny Queen would flee. When things didn't go quite to plan the tiny Queen got so spooked that she ran. It wasn't that she didn't try to rule but when she stumbled or fell she felt like a fool. She had dreams to expand, build extensions here and there but she thought she was too weak to build anywhere. The tiny Queen was always getting stuck in a rut afraid of getting squashed under foot.

When the tiny Queen was scared, she hid away from it all feeling ashamed that she would never be tall. "I've let them all down, my people need height! Not a Queen who is always in fright. Look at all those other emperors ruling their realm whilst I'm too small to even reach the helm.

She wished to be like Smallfilms who created such animations as Bagpuss - there was nothing she loved as much.

Lands like Trumpton or Camberwick Green she hoped for her world to one day be seen. Labyrinth entranced her, she wanted to make creatures or characters and scenes with fantastical features. "I want to be big, I want to take charge and I could do it all if only I were large. They should find someone better, more equipped for the role" then the tiny Queen sat and sobbed in a hole. The silence was broken with a whistle from outside "Little Queen, my dear, there's no need to hide! Yes, in Jayland there were no birds that squawked in her Kingdom all birds and animals talked! "We know you're scared, we know you're afraid but we're all here at your aid. We'll get together, we'll all help you work we'll help you to slay the dragons that lurk." It took a while, but the Queen came around with some persuasion she was soon homeward bound. "I will come back but I'll have to step down I can't go on like this, you can take my crown." "It's no surprise to us that you're smaller than most. Oh Queen, there's no reason really to leave your post. Come back to us, back to your land back to the world that you've crafted by hand. You are, my lady, the one we will follow if not today then always tomorrow. Give it another go, step up to the plate You know that to be Queen was always your fate." So, the tiny Queen returned to her royal throne but now her people only heard her moan. "This chair's still too high! This crown's too slack!" She imagined that she was under attack. "You've all turned against me, you want me gone for good." But really the Queen had misunderstood.

"It's not your size or where you sit it's just about your mind being the right fit You are in charge, you can adjust the measure but being Queen should never not be a pleasure. If something's too big or not quite to scale it's your job to fix it, it's your ship to sail!" The tiny Queen reflected on the time that she'd spent ignoring, taking for granted the gift she'd been sent. For although she was tiny and frightened a lot the Queen turned around to see what she'd got. A kingdom of dreams, a place to call home. A safe hideaway for her people to roam. "This is my world and I can make things right, This land is mine and I won't give up without a fight." The tiny Queen believed in the world and her world believed in her then the most exciting magic began to occur. The Queen smiled at her people and that's when it hit The tiny Queen was respected and grew bit by bit. Big enough to sit in her rightful throne big enough to walk into the real world alone. Still too small to quite reach the highest beam but she found she could conquer anything with the help of her team. On her journeys into the great unknown the tiny Queen realised just how much she had grown She wasn't scared by the prospect of working with strangers or paranoid about impossible dangers. No longer did she look at other kingdoms and lust No more jealousy, she was the Queen and in her world she would trust. Even travelling alone she didn't find quite as scary She was stronger now, different, a brave little fairy. No more worrying about being as good The Queen took pride and next to those legneds, there she stood Tiny steps forward the little Queen made with each achievement her anxiety would fade.

Taking things from the real world to add to her land to build the developments that she had planned. Learning from others who make models too working with them to see what they do. Realising her dreams weren't out of reach the Queen took the stage to make her speech. "I'd like to thank you all for coming with me all this way and I'm pleased to tell you I'm not going away. I'm just making connections, looking for opportunities around where we can co-exist with the outside and find common ground." She scouted for people who could help her more to realise the plans that she had in store. "There's places where our skills might be useful out there and people whose talents we could use and share" To television and children's books, the Queen's skills could be applied and she could make her dolls to sell on the side. The Queen could use her talents to build props for other things before going back to her own imaginings "This isn't the end, it's nowhere near in fact our adventure only really begins here."
