EdReady: Technology Makes it Possible Presented by Maria Flynn Location: CRO 215 Many students come to WKCTC with poor math skills – even when they test college-ready. Although online math lessons are available free of charge for students to build their skills and enhance their chances for college success, there was not a mechanism for helping students sort through and access only the online content they needed – until now. It’s called EdReady and students at WKCTC are currently beta testing it in advance of the projected roll-out in Spring 2014. This session will provide you with information about the pilot and about how you might use this tool to insure students have the math skills they need for your program courses, to enable your advisees to improve their SAP appeals, to allow prospective students to predict their placement and improve it before taking COMPASS, etc. Use of this tool is free to all Kentucky students.

This service allows you to view free streaming videos from Films Media Group anytime, anywhere, 24/7 through the library website’s PBS, BBC, Films for Humanities and Sciences, ABC News, History Channel, Cambridge Educational, and other large companies – and can be viewed by multiple users.
