RTF O-2014-007 | Warsaw, Poland | 7th - 11th Nov 2014
RTF SITE
WEATHER
The site is located in a small village Teresin located 40km west from Warsaw and 15km from the lovely house where Frederic Chopin was born.
November is a month when autumn clashes with winter. It can be crispy with a litte bit of rain or we can experience the first snow. Be prepared for temperatures between 0 and 10 Celsius degrees. A warm jacket is a must, but check the weather just before setting off for a journey just to be sure!
PLACES TO STAY BEFORE AND AFTER If you arrive earlier and/or stay longer, you can request for a host family. Warsaw Chapter would gladly host you and show you a bit of a city. Make sure you tell us in advance though. Note: we cannot guarantee that everyone will get a spot in the host family. Another option is to stay in Tatamka Hostel, which is located only 15 minuts by foot to both the Old Town and the city centre. Check them out here: http://www.tamkahostel.pl/ or Chillout Hostel which is located only 10 minutes by foot from the meeting point: If you have any questions about your stay before/after, do not hesitate to contact the staff at rtfpoland2014@gmail.com!
WHAT TO BRING AND SOME IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW The accommodation will be in rooms for 2 – 5 people. Blankets and sheets will be provided (so you don’t need a sleeping bag) BUT you do need to bring towels. There will be WiFi at the RTF site. A camp shop will be provided by the home staff with snacks and soft drinks. Don’t forget to bring ALIF form (if you at least 21 years old) or TWAL (if you under 21 years old), in that case don’t forget to have one of your parents to sign on it.
