An Urban District for the New South

The “Nashville Sound” is a well known term in Country music circles short for someone comLQJ WR 1DVKYLOOH DQG UHðQLQJ KRZ WKHLU PXVLF sounds in order to appeal to a broader audience. This expression embraces the idea that the health and success of one individual can be improved by the diversity, energy, health, and support of the community that surrounds them.

New Sound is a healthy and vibrant urban district that appeals to diverse residents, visitors and adjacent neighborhoods. The district is a public private partnership between Metro and the New Sound Redevelopment Corporation. Together the owners will make four major investments:

STIMULATE GROWTH

Shift the ballpark stadium to allow for more intense development along the surrounding edges.

FOSTER PLAY

Relocate the farmers market in between the stadium and the riverfront to activate the edge of the stadium to create a hub of activity.
