Mallory to be inducted into Buhler High School Hall of Fame Former Johnson County Community College athletic director Lori Mallory will be inducted to the Buhler High School Hall of Fame tonight in a ceremony at the school. In her career at Buhler, Mallory was a member of state championship teams in volleyball, basketball and softball. She was also an all-state performer three times. She continued her athletic career at Bethel College as a member of the volleyball team. In her four years at Bethel, she garnered NAIA All-American honors three times, and KCAC all-conference honors four times. After earning her degree, Mallory was named the school’s head women’s basketball coach and assistant volleyball coach. Mallory came to JCCC in 1991 as program director for the physical education department. She was named the fourth athletic director in JCCC history in January 1993, and served in that capacity for seven years. Mallory currently serves a professor, HPER, at JCCC. The hallmark of Mallory’s time as the JCCC athletic director was the overall excellence of the entire program. Under her watch, JCCC teams collected 49 conference championships, 23 region titles, two national championships and 14 teams finished among the top five nationally. Prior to her appointment at JCCC, Mallory served as executive director of the Florida Community College Activities Association, and as assistant executive director at the NJCAA in Colorado Springs, Colo.
