Rosh Hashanah-Tashlich Ceremony (casting off) Sunday, Sept. 23, 4:30—5:30 p.m. FREE Tommy Davis Park (9200 E. Orchard Road) Participate in a family activity with Rabbi Menachem Lehrfield symbolically casting off sins of the previous year by tossing pieces of bread into a body of water.
Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur Adult Learning Session Monday, Sept. 24, 7:30—8:30 p.m. FREE Engage in a learning session about the High Holy Days, Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur with Rabbi Menachem Lehrfield from Jewish Outreach Initiative.
Pre-Sukkot Shabbat Dinner Friday, Sept. 28, 6—8 p.m. $5 for children 3 years and younger; $14 for ages 4 and older Recommended for families with children six years and younger.Enjoy an evening of noshing,talking,singing,and relaxing with family and friends as we celebrate Shabbat. We will create a mock "sukkah" for educational purposes in preparation for Sukkot.Dinner will include soup selections,salad,sandwiches, desserts,and drinks.
Designed for children birth to 12 months with their parents. Bagels and Blocks is a parent discussion and play group that meets over a bagel snack. Moms and Dads discuss parenting with professionals, such as a financial planner, psychologist, pediatrician, nutritionist, etc. while their babies play by their side. Topics include: Preparing for your Family’s Financial Future, The Realities of Parenting, The Impact of Parent-Child Attachment on Infant Development, When is it Time to Call the Doctor, Setting the Groundwork for Healthy Eating
Parent-Tot Shabbat Sing Beginning Friday, Sept. 7, 10—11 a.m. Session I: Sept. 7, 14, 21, 28; Oct. 5, 12, 19, 26 $70/eight-week session; $10 drop in/Children ages 13 months and older $54/eight-week session, $8 drop in/Children ages 6—12 months Session II: Nov. 2, 9, 16, 30; Dec. 7, 14, 21 (No class on Nov. 23 due to the Thanksgiving holiday) $60/seven-week session; $10 drop in/Children ages 13 months and older $48/seven-week session; $8 drop in/Children ages 6—12 months Space is limited to 12 children. Children work with paint, chalk, play dough and other art media. The focus is on the experience and not the end result. Be ready to make a mess that you don’t have to clean up at home.

Yoga Babies Beginning Wednesday, Nov. 7, 14, 28; Dec. 5, 12, 19.
