Greetings to JCI Johor Bahru Entrepreneur!
As we approach the end of another remarkable year, I want to take this opportunity to acknowledge the incredible work have accomplished by 2024 Board of Directors and team under the leadership of President YK Lim. Your dedication to empowering young leaders and fostering entrepreneurial spirit within our community is truly inspiring.
This year has been filled with challenges, but your resilience and determination have shone brightly. Your impactful projects such as JBE Carnival and Waste to Green, not only uplift local entrepreneurs but also create a supportive environment that encourages innovation and collaboration. It is through your efforts that we continue to inspire positive change and elevate the JCI mission.
As we prepare to gather at the upcoming 2024 JCI Malaysia National Convention in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, I urge each of you to reflect on your achievements and the impact you have made. It feels like just yesterday that we embarked on this journey together in January, and now we find ourselves already in September. Time has passed swiftly, but as we reflect on the past nine months, we realize how much we’ve accomplished and how far we’ve come. Together, we’ve navigated challenges, celebrated successes, and supported one another through countless events and activities. Each experience has shaped us, and now, we can truly take pride in the achievements we’ve worked so hard to realize.
We’ve led our members through numerous conferences, expanding our horizons and building invaluable connections. Each flagship event we’ve completed stands as a testament to our resilience, dedication, and commitment to making an impact. Today, we proudly present our results—not just in terms of projects and numbers, but in the growth we’ve experienced as individuals and as a team.
For many of us, JCI has been more than just an organization. It’s been a place where we’ve developed leadership skills, faced challenges, and learned the true meaning of service. The one-year leadership term may seem brief, but in that time, we’ve had opportunities to face real responsibilities, drive meaningful change, and grow into the leaders we aspire to be. It has pushed us to work efficiently, manage time wisely, and, most importantly, lead with purpose
At this moment, I want to express my deepest gratitude to every member who has given their time, energy, and heart I encourage you to take the lessons you’ve learned and continue serving with excellence. Junior Chamber International (JCI) is a global membership-based non-profit organization of young active citizens ages 18 to 40 who are dedicated to creating positive change in their communities. Through projects in more than 5,000 communitiesacrossmorethan100countries,membersseektargetedsolutionstolocal problems,creatingaglobalimpact
TheJCImovementstartedonOctober13,1915byoneactivecitizen,HenryGiessenbier, who had a passion for positive change Since then, millions of other young active citizenshaveunitedtogethertocreatesustainableimpactintheircommunity.
JCI Headquarters: The JCI Headquarters is located in St. Louis, Missouri, U.S.A., where the first local organization was founded. The headquarters operation is led by JCI SecretaryGeneralKevinHinfromJCIMonaco.
JCI also hosts four regional conferences each year: Africa and the Middle East, Asia and the Pacific, the Americas and Europe. At these conferences, JCI conducts its affairs, hosts training, and gives members the opportunities to address global issues and show their commitment to become socially responsible leaders.

JCI Johor Bahru Entrepreneur is founded by Datin Kuan Chu Ling in year 2006.
Back in those days, most of the JCI local organisations (LO) were using English as main language. Chinese-speaking LOs, in the other hand, were mainly based in Kuala Lumpur and Penang.
Therefore, our chartered president Datin Kuan has taken the initiative to start the first Chinesespeaking LO in the southern region of Malaysia.
Hence, the birth of JCI Johor Bahru Entrepreneur (新⼭⽂华国际⻘年商会)
Today, JCI Johor Bahru Entrepreneur is proudly known as the Largest LO in Johor and Top 3 Active LO in Malaysia with a proven track record of maintaining 100% Efficiency & 5-Star Rating for many consecutive years.
